Paws is ending his OTJ trial with his PMBG the blues... Given that he's been back and forth between low 60's and low blues, I think I'm going to call him officially :otj: but will keep monitoring him both AM and PM daily for a couple weeks to make sure he doesn't keep creeping up there.

Today is a happy day, and although our journey has been a short one, thanks everyone for all the support along the way! :bighug::bighug::bighug: I'll still be hanging around keeping tabs on all of you, and helping out where I can.

Paws got his party hat out and says let's party! And Smokey put on his bow tie to join in the celebration! Where's the catnip? :D:D

:otj:YO PAWS! CONGRATS TO YOU AND TIM!:otj:

Did you have your party? I missed it!! Anyways, I wanted to wish you a great life at THE FALLS. I baked you a special Cimmamum OTJ CAKE with Catnip Icing and made a pitcher of Niptinis so you can party with all your new pals at the Falls. Enjoy, man!

How nice for you! I think I am heading that way too! Changing to wet food has done wonders.
What is your secret to get those numbers? Mango is going on 3 weeks now. Super cute kitties! I am so happy for Paws!

@Myagi and Heidi - Paws is doing great! Back to his old self, and every time I test him he's under 100. Yay Paws! We were able to leave Paws and Smokey in a pet sitter's care over Christmas and weren't worried about them at all. First test when we got home was 88.

@Lesliejm - Secret? No secret here, Paws just managed to kick himself into gear on his own! Looks like Mango is pretty great too - I think we both caught our kitties early enough that, with a little insulin boost from the shots and the switch to wet food, their pancreas was able to recover on its own. Looking at Mango's SS, I'm wondering if you might stick at .25 for a bit (if you can manage it with the syringes you have) to give Mango's pancreas a little bit of ongoing help to get back to where it's happy so it can handle things on its own. So long as you can monitor BG to prevent going hypo, my understanding is it's always best to stick with some injected insulin support so that OTJ sticks as long as possible. But I'm definitely not an expert on this.
