Yesterday, first ever all green daytime cycle and darn close on the PM.

12/7 Recap:
AMPS 90  +6 64  +8 60  +9 49   +10 71
PMPS 79  +4 101

I saw the full ranges of Neko's food related noises today at breakfast time. She has always been a vocal talkative kitty. She started with the "I'm starving" yowling to get me up, then after testing she headed downstairs to use her favorite LB, and then I heard her hissing as Theo got a little too close. Next she moved onto the "hurry up" mews while I'm prepping breffs, then the trill of excitement as I finally walk towards her feeding spot. Next is the noisy wolfing of food, and the occasional teeth grinding (due I think to soft tissue growth from the acro tumor). Then there was the light complaint noise as I held her back from scarfing Theo's food. Neko gave her usual deep sigh as I finished off the acupressure. Later after Otto delivered her next meal, I heard a yowyow yowyow, which I think was just conversation. She then headed over to where I was and started yelling for attention, which she got. And then I got my favorite sound, the deep purrs. cat_pet_icon

Neko seems to be really working the reducie I gave her last night. It takes 6 cycles before I'll know if it's holding. Although Neko's a long term diabetic, I'll still sometimes give her shave reductions below 50 if it looks like she's leading up to a reduction. Being an acrocat with a possible working pancreas, I don't want to or need to play it too close to the line.

Go Neko. It sounds like she's feeling good if she's giving you all those noises.

Hi Wendy

That's a great range of numbers Neko has been having the last couple of days.

Love the well structured narrative of Neko's opera this morning. Polly's just a one-note girl. A little narrative structure would be nice!

Looking good, Neko.

And it looks like she's starting to bounce. She was a little less vocal tonight at dinner time, although eager as usual.

I got a call from vetty about the blood work and UPC ratio. The plan is to retest UPC in two weeks, and test blood pressure at the same time cause that can also impact proteinuria. It's been about a year and a half since her last BP check. Vetty was not too concerned by the one test, but rather put things on the watch list.

@Carla, Sarah, Marilyn, Ella - I love that Neko is such a chatter, and not always about food. Bean is feeling a little bit less stress after talking to vetty too.

What a beautiful day for Miss Neko- I love that she's so talkative! Hopefully this will be just a mini bounce- she's had such a great couple of days!

Glad to hear your not as stressed and that the vet is not overly concerned about those test results Wendy! It's the story of our life, being on watch alert! :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Very funny about all of Neko's vocalizations.  She sure has a great bean, who understands everything she says. :-D I'm glad the vet's input on the tests could ease your worry.

Wow on yesterday! Rare to see Neko in the 40s so congrats on the reduction. Soul Sista also takes six cycles to decide will I hold it or not?.

Speaking of Soul Sistas, did you get your FDMB calendar yet? Soul Sistas are on the same page right next to each other!! Gorgeous girls.

    Neko's vocalizations. That cracked me up. Perhaps you should videotape it and post it so we can hear her?

Not a bad bounce, maybe if I'd tested 10 minutes earlier it would have been blue. She should be onsetting soon, but my head will be on the pillow.

@Ruth, Liz, Marje - Thanks for stopping in. I do have Neko purrs recorded and really should do some of the other ones. I want to get a recording of the teeth grinding to show the dental vetty next month. Marje - I don't have the calendars yet. It takes a little longer to get to Canada. But I'm happy to hear that Neko's not on the November high dose page like she was the last two issues.

I guess after three great, green cycles, you have to expect a bit of a bounce. I hope it's a small one and she clears it quickly.

Love hearing about Neko's noisemaking. They all sound adorable. Not the annoying, LOUD Siamese-sounding whine Cinco makes (and there he goes! Right on cue.).
