12/8 Musette day#2-split-dosing

Well so far today is starting off better than yesterday. She is clearly feeling better this morning. Both last night and this morning she started doing something that up to this point she hasn't done, coming for bed cuddles that includes head butts and a lot of cheek rubbing. I also walked her walk across the room last night and she had that big plume of a tail held right straight up like a furry flag. :-D

She has had days before where she would carry her tail high like last night but it hasn't been the norm, most of the time she will carry up but not to the full extent that she has just started doing. And normally our morning cuddles are only after daddy gets out of bed, but the last two days she has been walking across daddy's pillow to come love on mom and then dad in the mornings. She is also starting to explore the house more, and much less hostile to the other cats...She has been a little bi-polar about that, when her BGs are down she loves everyone, when she goes high she tries to take their heads off their shoulders.

Now to see where she heads today.

The second am shot could also have been a possible fur shot, I didn't feel any wet fur or smell insulin but it just didn't feel right going in.

Mel - do you think the change is because of the split dose like that? KT's sort of the same way - he's high and is mad at the world, he's low and mellow....well, sort of....

I think it is a little too early to say the change is from the split-dosing, but I do think it correlates to where her numbers are, she had a great run (for her) yesterday in the bluses and greens, without the really zooming up and down...she was still steeper that I would have liked her to be yesterday, but definitely not the flying up or down like she had been.

She isn't dropping quite so fast today so hopefully she will get a little more surf time today. But yeah, when her numbers are closer to normal she is a happier girl, high she clearly feels like crap and she is angry at the world. And I'm sure the turkey treats are improving her mood, she starts purring and talking the moment she sees the turkey treat tub coming out of the frig. :lol:

Talking is something new for her as well, I wasn't even sure she had a meow until about 3 days ago when she decided she needed to start up a conversation with me..Now she is very talkative, and is so cute because she sounds like she really is trying to carry on a conversation. I will talk to her and she cocks her head to the side then make all kinds of different noises like she is answering my questions. She has a really raspy little voice but makes all kinds of different chirps at me now. And we are developing a nice set of 'speak' for what she wants when she wants it...lol. As musical as her purr is, her voice doesn't match, she sounds like a little old lady when she speaks. But she certainly knows how to demand what she wants. Yesterday she brought me her toy mouse, dropped in my lap and gave a loud Rrrrow which I have now learned means "Throw the mouse MOM!" Oh and she fetches now...I throw the mouse, she chases it and brings it back until she is done with the game, when she is done I get the look of "You threw it...You go get it!"

Coolness, yep she is going to have a lot shallower curve today, she isn't racing down today just nice and steady downward trend so hopefully it will be an equally gentle upswing when she starts going up again.

Yes she does but today she also went way down on her own afterward...pmps #1 ~ 141 tonight.

She is really liking the blue numbers this evening....It will be interesting to see where she is in the morning.

Not only does she seem happier today but her appetite isn't nearly so ravenous and her urine out-out is down as well. She actually has been grazing more than bolting down her food.
