Re: 12/7 Rusty AMPS 221, +8 80, PMPS 143
Hi Everyone,
Rusty and Edward had a low key day, but Rusty perked up when I got home from my climb. He had 80 at +8, but hadn't eaten much of his lunch, apparently. He enjoyed it, warmed over, when I got home. He also enjoyed a combing and a brushing.
I had a really challenging climb up "The Brothers", three ridgeline peaks on the way to Big Slide Mt. (one of the High Peaks). The Brothers were high enough (3500 feet) for the conditions today: very light dusting of snow on icy rocks and boulders. And it was STEEP! And the drop-off was scary, especially if you missed a step or slipped!! But we made it. All three of us on the climb did our own "slides" on the way down, but no injuries. I was glad I was able to do this challenge. It was good practice for the "Winter Saranac 6er" series. (I am already a Saranac 6er and want to be a Winter 6er). There was fog up in the High Peaks all day, so the fabled views were not too visible. My pictures didn't come out well.
This evening I'm going to chillax for a while and then will visit some condos. If I don't get to yours, it's not because I didn't want to!
Hope all is well in LL,
Ella & Rusty
