12/7 Radar - he's bouncing today - he likes pork :)

Radar continues to feel good and eat well on his own. He's high today from the 217 last night or perhaps he went lower than that while I was asleep?? This suggests to me that we are getting closer to a good dose for him. :)

We had a great consultation with our awesome vet yesterday. She was thrilled to learn about the fabulous success we've had with adding S. Boulardii to Radar's daily supplements and the greatly improved conditions in our LB. :cat: Once I'm on break from school for the holidays and can monitor him more closely, we are going to try to wean him off the Budesonide by only giving him a dose every other day for a couple of weeks. Then we'll reassess and decide what to do next. Of course as soon as we reduce the Budesonide, he will most likely need adjustments to his insulin dose. So this is why we'll wait a bit before trying the reduction in Budesonide. Staying up late with Radar will need to wait until I'm not in charge of holiday excited children during the day.

Boo on the bounce, but yeah for a better LB!

Budesonide has no effect at all on Neko’s BG. Of course, if Radar can do without a steroid, that would be good.

I've continued to offer lamb to Radar without success. Sometimes he'll take a bite or two but most of the time he walks away from the dish. Today the pork I've been thawing in the fridge was finally ready and I gave him a teaspoon full to try today. He gobbled it down and even licked the smell out of the dish. :woot: I now feel hopeful that at the very least I've found another protein source he will eat. Now I just need to watch the LB to see if theres any evidence of an issue...
