Just another day here in Snuggle City. We started off strong...lots of pre-breffis snuggles while MamaBean checked e-mail and woke up. Had a nice little Mannie Fuds dance as breffis was being prepared. Attempted to hunt down any stray kibbles the civvies may have left behind. And then came the gelcap...hissy, growly, swatty, multiple repacks, 20 minutes later finally went down...gelcap. Oh, how I despise those stupid pills. I usually chase the gelcap with a small syringe of water, but she had totally had enough of me by that point, and I didn't want to further aggravate her, gag her, or possibly cause her to choke on the water, so I didn't force the issue. I did get her to eat a little bit shortly after, and I saw her at the water bowl, too, so hopefully that washed the pill down. I always worry about it sticking and dissolving in her throat.
I was also hoping for a BTB...I iz one tired bean, but we spend so much time on the pill that BTB became pointless. It's gonna be a long day at work today...
My Dad is feeling pretty good now...Chemo Crash #6 is a thing of the past. We are due for Round 7 on Tuesday, but fortunately he still has 3 full days to enjoy before then. They are supposed to go out to lunch to celebrate my older brother's birthday today...hopefully the nasty rain we're expecting won't be a problem so they can enjoy a good meal.
Continued prayers for Chris as she mourns the sudden passes of sweet drooler Peaches, and for Tricia and her civvies.
