This momma is utterly exhausted and feeling run down. I know it goes in waves, and this is just a part of the dance. But I am in one of those waves where I am feeling a little beat by the sugar dance. I am hoping catching on some sleep this weekend and getting a few more things done around the house will help me feel better.

Looks like Skooter might be noticing I need a little break and might be holding steady....HOWEVER, sometimes he likes to wait until +3 to dive, so I shall test again then and see what he has up his sleeve for the day....

Wishing everyone an amazing Caturday....sending vines to Chris as she returns home from her trip and goes home for the first time without her Peaches.

Since he seems to be surfin this morning, I think I will give him a pokey break and hit him up for some readings this afternoon....the times I cant normally get when I am at work.

Boy, Molly. I hear you on the exhaustion. And I'm not juggling a demanding job. Skoots is doing a fantastic job. Now, you take care of you. Sleep. Declutter. Sleep. Whatever it takes.

Yay, Skooter! You are such a good boy to have a nice relaxing day on the edge of the lagoon so your Mama gets a break! Keep up the good work.

I hope you do get lots of rest today, Molly. Chores can wait. Take care of you so you can take care of Skoots!

It was nice to get some good solid sleep today, but I am now way behind on everything else that needs to get done.....oh well...

I plan on giving the bupe at +1, should I anticipate it effecting his numbers at all when I am testing tonight?

The only thing that might make the bupe affect Skooter's numbers is if he is in pain. If the bupe makes him feel better, he could possibly have lower numbers. Pain can make BGs higher.

well not sure if I gave the bupe right, but hopefully if it didn't all get in his cheek it won't hurt him.....

I am now thinking of changing to an even larger LB so he can move around a bit....which means getting an 18 gallon tote and transforming it into a LB. It would be great if this was indeed the problem. MUCH more economical than some of the alternatives. I don't remember really hearing him meowing hen he had that size before.

The only thing I noticed when Tiger was on bupe- it seemed to cause constipation! And for Tiger, constipation meant higher BG. Hope this isn't the case for Skooter and hope you get some sleep tonight-skooter is looking good! :-D

Well so far I am not really noticing a difference in the way he is acting and I gave the bupe about 45 minutes ago. He was a bit more calm and didn't really move around when I did his +1.75 test......

Looks like I might be in a bit of a long night. I will test him again at +3 and see where we are at....

I did get a fair amount of sleep today, but I think with my own medication adjustments and the time of year, just kind of a sucky time....oh well....

Well, guess I won't be getting a normal night's sleep..... UGH....this cat!

Could this be a result of the bupe or just coincidence?

Hi there :cool:

Pain can raise BG in some kitties - so relieving the pain may bring BG back down.
