Good Morning, Everyone,
Rusty was on the way up last night, bouncing from his earlier greens, and this morning he is starting out higher, but not as high as when we went to bed. It's a dark, gloomy day with rain. I don't think our kitty would enjoy going out in this weather! At the moment he's on his cushion next to the radiator. We had an "ouchie" shot this morning. Rusty pulled away before I had a chance to push the plunger, so I pulled the needle out and tried again, this time successfully. He certainly does not like shots and usually complains before I even have the syringe near him! I started counting drops and figure it is 2 large drops and 1 small (half?) drop from the 2-unit mark to a "fat" 1.75. (Levemir). This corresponds pretty closely with my eyeballed dose. I am using Ann's (Tess) procedure of holding the syringe perpendicular and twisting the plunger until a drop forms and slides down the needle. I do this for the first two (large) drops and then when the next drop is about half the size of the other two (before it slides down the needle), I call the dose "fat 1.75"). Then I eyeball it, and if it seems OK, I shoot!! (This description is for my own reference; if it seems incorrect, someone please tell me!)
We are continuing to send healing vines and snowflakes to Tawny, Rocket, and all kitties and beans who need them, and we are keeping Jill and Mike, and MJ in our thoughts and prayers.
Wishing everyone a good day,
Ella & Rusty
