PMPS 492
+321. I think she had a fur shot on 12/4 that is causing the higher numbers but today she was surfing well in yellow before I left for work this morning!
C'mon Mary Grace give mama some blues!! Greens even better!

TGIF! Hope everyone in LL is having a good day!

she might be getting into blue numbers this afternoon. don't you wish you had a clone that could take her BG tests while you're at work! i wish i knew what the nadir of this cycle would be.

have a great day!

Re: 12/6 Mary Grace AMPS 288 +1 290 +2 253 PMPS 421

Hey Julie, I hope you have had a wonderful Friday
I am trying to figure out how I can put my continuous glucose monitor on her. I am afraid she would rip it off while I am at work but my goodness I was thinking about her nadir all day! And now she was 421 at PMPS so I am thinking a bounce? I got stuck in traffic coming home and her shot was about 30 mins late. Do I need to adjust for her am shot?. I almost put my hazards on and drove on the emergency lane but just told myself to calm down and breathe.
Thanks for the other day reply on how much to feed her. Also Marge and Kim. I am feeding her enough per weight but I need to get a scale because she looks like she is losing weight, just have to wait because things are a bit tight right now. I have been looking on craigslist and eBay. I spent too much stocking up on region strips, which haven't come so I had to go buy even more :YMSIGH: and bought 7 jars of halo freeze dried treats on cyber Monday.
Also I was looking over her diagnosis lab work and the vet that diagnosed her as well as her new vet who had a copy of her labs never mentioned any cause to worry but her white cells had an arrow up and her red blood cells had an arrow down. Do you know if this is normal? Her t4 was near the highest number and so was the bun. Does this mean get more labs done or a call in to the vet?
I am such a worry wart!

Worry wart=Wonderful Mama!
I have no idea about the bw, but Marje will. They do tend to eat a lot and lose weight when unregulated.. they lose muscle mass as well. That makes a huge difference in their appearance.
Not sure what your schedule is like this wknd, but I am soooo curious to know where she's getting to at nadir and when ;-)
Hope you're having a wonderful night!

Hi Kim! Hope you and Twice are snuggled in warm!
I am going to be around all weekend except for a few errands here and there so I will a good amount of numbers, I'm going to try and stay awake long enough to get her plus 5 which seems to be her nadir for tonight. 530 am is when I get up to giver her test shot at 545, so I end up falling asleep early.
Have a great night and Mary grace and I love when you visit, so thanks!

Awww!!! We love visiting you guys! Looking forward to see her numbers, but make sure you have lots of time for yourself too ;-) I am horrible for getting caught up with the testing and just sitting at the testing site all day, watching the time  I think I'm getting better...I can now move to a location near the testing site to watch the time

:-x :-x me too! It can be a bit obsessive. I have spot checked my civvies a few too many times too! I see the looks from my friends and neighbors when I have to excuse myself to go test Mary. Or I HAVE to be home by 545 for her shot ... I'm getting the "you are CRAZY look"... :-x

that's because they really do think you are crazy. you're not imaging the looks. my mother-in-law never understood that taking care of punkin was more important to us than coming out of town to something. i just feel sorry for people who never have experienced the love of an animal in the way that we have. their loss.

you can go back 30 minutes in the morning without worry. it shouldn't be a problem.

i don't think i'd try to hook her up to the insulin drip!!! who knows what that would do! she'll get there. it's just one step at a time.

Oh no it's not an insulin drip I'm talking of, not that kinda crazy ;-)
I do have an insulin pump, but I also have a device called a continuous glucose monitor that is inserted on my side every week that reads my blood sugar every 5 mins. I get all the data on a handheld transmitter. It can actually read the blood and know if it's dropping, rising or staying steady. So if I am 100 bs before I meal I would bolus but if the trend was that my sugar was dropping then I wouldn't. It has made life with type 1 easier to deal with. That's what I would love to have her wear it and then I could sit back and watch her sugar patterns.
It makes me sad to be around pet owners who are just that..owners .

Hope you are having a great night

oh *whew* somehow i thought you were talking about infusing insulin through it.

it would be nice if we knew what their blood sugar was doing all the time, wouldn't it?!

That would be cause for a panic bump on the thread I am sure! "She's got her cat on a drip"
Love it though, I did some research and cats do wear them sometimes but only in a hospital. Thanks for the shot time answer,
I am glad I don't have to adjust her shot time.
