Not impressed, he's had R the last 2 shots. He's gonna have to do better than that, without R, to keep his furry butt out of the vets.

Have appt at 3pm Wed afternoon, unless he rallies and I can cancel it anytime until Tues without is costing me. I'm thru playin'! :-x
I know he can do well, he's done it on Lev and when he doesn't I'm ready to pull my hair out. Ever since he hit that 38 a week/10 days ago, haven't been able to get it under control. Hope it's the insulin and he'll get it together SOON, like in the next day or 2. Shouldn't take any longer than that for his shed to build a fresh,stronger insulin base. He's now had 6 doses from the pen that's only been open a month, should be showing me something.
Because he had the R last night, this morning's number shows me nothing, it's almost always lower the next cycle. Tonight and tomorrow's cycle will show me what's happening. Usually I give the R over 300, but I'm trying to see if he can bring it down with the Lev.
I've passed worried, now I'm pissed and want to see improvement! And if that takes a vet visit, so be it! I have antiques I can sell, he'll get his care.

You know I just went back to that 38 which he did on a .5 I'm wondering if he's rebounding. If instead of up you need to turn around and head the other way.

He had dropped to 51 on .75, which is why I reduced him to .5, then he continued down, although I didn't drop him again. From that point on he continued to go higher no matter the dose. I don't get it. Was it because of weak insulin? Or something we don't know about? If he keeps this up and the vet finds nothing, then I'd have to go with a rebound effect. Isn't that what 'they' say has no scientific proof? Is that the same as the Sythingie?

Yes its the same as Somogyi and yes there is no concrete scientific evidence it exists. But then again as far as I know there is no scientific evidence that God exists either. And I know dang well something was keeping Casey alive for the last year on 11u bid and it wasn't just the dry food.

I'm not understanding the early nadir either. He must still think he's on Lantus!

Not near as bad as I expected! I thought he'd be up over 400 again and need R.

I may have to test him a couple times tonight. He's run so high for the last week, I haven't bothered, I pretty much knew what he was doing after 11+ months.
I am SO hoping he's gonna start coming down.
