Yeah, I was a chicken this morning and shot:
AMPS 465 3.6 u

DH shot a
PMPS 441 4 u.
+1 477

I'm trying not to freak out. But if he drops 400 points tonight, I just can't...so, I gave him shredded chicken for his 2nd dinner and now DH will not shoot until he talks to me after taking his PMPS. We'll see if that fixes our communication breakdown. ohmygod_smile

I'm honestly stuggling to shoot him these high amounts (I know there are some that shoot higher), but my gut tells me it's wrong.

I've also been researching Lev and it might be a better match for Klinger. He's so high at AMPS and PMPS, I just don't know if this insulin is lasting long enough for him or not. From what I've read, Lev has a gentler drop at nadir. These big drops with Klinger really freak me out. So, I need to do some more research, but I'm leaning towards a switch in the near future. It really is hard for me to do that too, because I think what if I didn't give this enough time.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents for the evening....I'm going to go spend some time with Klinger. I'll be back on to update his numbers.

Marcy,
If duration is the question then TID is technically an option. I'm betting this has already been mentioned to you. Though I'm not sure if it is an option for you and the DH to manage. I know Hope felt it helped get things under control then she was able to move back to BID. Anyway just thought I would mention it.

I'm *hoping* to get Hope to contribute some TID guidance/info/etc for the newbie checklist/guide when she comes back around.

I'm glad you are researching Lev and at least have some time to get your ducks in order on that, if you do it, so that could go as smooth as possible. And have to time to make sure it would fit your requirements. I hate doing things the baptism by fire way.

Hopefully the 4u is where you need to go and his move was actually 'inspired.' ;-)

Marcy- I feel the same way you do. The switch would be based more on cost-effectiveness for me, though. Hope & Aria are very helpful if you do consider tid shooting. She responds to pms, but doesn't seem to be around much. She only ended up doing tid for a couple weeks and it really brought aria's #s around and she then resumed bid. I've considered it...but haven't tried it. I've gotten very conflicting advice regarding it and I'm just not sure what to think. I think the conflicting opinions are because Charlie appears to be either insulin resistant, acro, or both. I will likely give tid a try if those tests come back negative when we decide to do them.

I hope klinger has good (but not too scary-low) numbers for you tonight!

Marcy, I can only imagine how frustrated you must feel. I'm glad you're doing your homework on Lev.

So what is your gut telling you. You had mentioned thinking he might be in rebound. What would you like to try?

That 400 point drop freaked me out too.

Marjorie and Gracie over in Lantus has had a conversation with Dr. Lisa about shooting TID in pro zinc in case she makes the switch. I'm guess if she discussed it with Dr. Lisa that she must have more info on this than the rest of us.
I think they just talked this week.
