Hi all!!!

Not so good news from us.. And regarding my last post, I have to say to myself "stop complaining, things can get worse"... ughhh.. :(:blackeye:
Chnoudi is quite lethargic today and not in a good mood. She's licking her fur very much and it's the first time that there are blue numbers after +2.
Her appetite is perfect, though.
I'm asking now, because I have to leave for work and I want to be prepared for the pm shot: Do I need to increase to 0.50? Or wait for a couple of cycles to see how she's going?

Hi Melita, sorry to hear pretty Chnoudi is not feeling good today. :bighug: I would wait at least 6 cycles after the last green to increase. The blues could be temporary. I would also try to get a late cycle +9 or +10 test if possible to get a fuller picture. Cats often do a "double dip" and drop a little lower late in a cycle. Patterns with cats can change.

Thank you so much Katherine for your reply. I just tested +10: 144 , which is not good at all....
I'll wait and see. The only thing that concerns me is her bad, sleepy mood not the numbers.

Yes, I shooted 0.1 because I had to be out of home for 5-6 hrs and nobody would be there to keep an eye on her. I was afraid to shoot the whole dose and leave...Maybe it was a mistake.. I was thinking that the impact of the lower dose would have been seen on that day (12/5th). But on the other hand, the depot could have worked for her, that's why she was low.. Right?? ..I don't know I hope this is the cause for that awful day yesterday.. It will be a relief :)

Lantus is a depot insulin and even if you skip or shoot a reduced dose, the depot will affect the first part of the cycle. The depot was disrupted by the token dose and will take at least 4 cycles to rebuild. If you see higher numbers even after that, you might want to look at an increase. She dropped to the 50s just a couple of days before that token shot.

Yes!!!! Bhooma was right..!!!:):) Chnoudi is green again ,thank God. It's amazing how much she was affected from the reduced dose in a cycle! Thank you so much Marina!!! Kisses to your beautiful Chico!
