Well done, that cat! :cat:

Saoirse, when constipated:

The constipation would wipe Saoirse out. She'd perk up big time after 'performing'.

I'm very glad to hear that Blue's feeling the better for his generous donation to the litter box.

Hi Patty,

If you aren't already doing so, it's an idea to keep a note of the date/time that Blue poops (assuming you're able to identify him as the producer of said bowel motions). It's really useful to know how regular a kitty's bowel motions are (but a bit more of a challenge to track in a multi-cat household).

I put the travel litter container in the powder room so it's closer to him. I'm pretty sure it's him.
He must have gone overnight because it was there when I got up. He's more active today as well so I can tell he feels better.

I don't know how I missed this post of your girl. That's about what Blue looked like last night.
I'm thrilled he's feeling so good today. His tummy is still large and I can feel something odd in there.
I'll be glad when we find out what it is and hopefully treated.

I posted it because I wondered whether it might be helpful for you to get an idea of how lethargic constipation can make a cat. If you remember a while back Lúnasa was getting constipated. The longer she goes without a poop the more miserable and uncomfortable she looks, and energy/activity levels get very low.

Both knowing and not knowing can be so hard - and the waiting...

Fingers, paws, and everything else possible are all crossed over here.

My tortie Tiffany didn’t have Tortietude. She was the sweetest girl but mischievous like Chai.

I’m so glad Blue is feeling better. He may still have poop in his colon as well.

Good. I hope he stays flat. He hasn’t vomited again right? It’s good you gave it even if he could have been okay without as we don’t know and we want him to keep his food down. I’d do 30 again.
