I’ve never given my cats anything for stress. I moved for the worst part of my remodel but had lots of workers and noise here. They hid a lot. I fed them when the workers took breaks. They aren’t diabetic though. Can you lock her in a room do you can test?
Sone use gabapentin. Good luck.

Thank you. We were able to test this morning. After he ran into the closet. We waited a few minutes then coaxed him out with some chicken and gave insulin as he ate. Back into the closet he went. Normally, we test, feed, then when he's done eating he gets a little more chicken as we shoot. This time, he did not eat breakfast, so I was a little concerned the chicken wasn't enough. However, I put his breakfast in the closet with Tango and he ate it.

I guess all is good. I just hate seeing him so stressed:arghh:

We had all our windows replaced when Neko was diabetic. It meant moving room to room to avoid the places where the workers/noise/holes in the walls was. I spend quite a bit of time with her (and her buddy cat) to try to reassure her. She ate better when I was around too. Feliway or Rescue Remedy for Pets were things I used for calming.

Cleo hides when there is a lot of loud noises too :(. I would leave the food out for her close to her hiding spot (sometimes under the bed, other times in the closet) and when there was a sufficient break in the noise then she would eat.

Poor baby. It’s so tough on them when those bad people are making loud noises and scaring them.
I would put the food wherever they want to hide.
I spend lots of time with Ivy especially when that kind of work is going on to comfort her.
Best of luck!! :bighug::bighug:

Thanks kitty parents. Appreciate your experiences/advice. It's day 3 and Tango's doing okay. Actually had a AMPS of 93 - thought that was pretty good with all the constant noise. He seems to be content in the closet. He's letting us bring him out for a quick test/shot then back he goes. We put his food in the closet and he scarfs. Hopefully, roof is done this week.

Thanks again and have a great day:cat:
