Evening....
Shadow is going to the vet tomorrow morning. We have to do the dreaded fasting..... so no food after 9 pm.... her appointment is at 9 am.
She just never understands that....
So I'll get to sleep in tomorrow... pretending that I'm ignoring her and my DH will scoot out the door early and close it. If she figures it out, she hides
in difficult to find places.
A couple of nights ago she didn't pee for at least 30 hours... and she has been pretty regular with that at least once every 24 hours....
so not a huge concern but it felt like a wake up call. She's been fine since but now I'm making sure to check. ( easy for me as I have that smartbox cat
box with a reservoir under it to catch it every day)
But she's also had kind of a crappy appy. And I give her a nausea pill after I open 3 cans and she still barely touches it.
It's probably her not wanting to eat her better for her foods but I haven't logged it to see for sure. I guess I'll have to get there if things decline.
She was supposed to have her ultrasound a few weeks back but I cancelled. And things were good for that time after.... but since I am about to
leave for a week to go pack up my grandmother/mother ( at least we still think we are)
I don't want to leave without checking her out.
I can't have an ultrasound until after the new year here locally. I would have to schedule one in Albuquerque and time is precious as I try to get my own
house packed up to have a bedroom empty for my grandmothers things, plus I have 15 hours of work to complete in a week.
So the plan is for her to be fasted.... because if she has some urinary problem like a crystal or a stone forming.... they said that would show up in an xray.
So xray is on the agenda if the vet thinks we should.... and Shadow has never had one without being under anesthesia so
Paws Crossed she'll lay there if sedated since I can't hold her down on the table. :roll:
