Well I finally found out what it would be like to deal with FD and have a migraine. Ouch. I didn't test as often as I would have. I had to trust that he wouldn't go low. He hasn't yet. I don't know how people function when they have chronic pain. Its my biggest fear. If I have one evil migraine a month or so and thats enough for me. It hit at 6AM (before I was even supposed to be awake). And they are evil migraines. Triggered in my neck some how and are bilateral with multiple throbbing pain points. A muscle relaxant helps - it sometimes averts the migraine and I lose the day to just sleep. Today was a combo of pain and sleep. The problem is movement makes everything worse. Finally got out of bed at 5PM and his food plate was empty. So I fed him. Not having consistency in eating before preshots I'm sure makes his data kind of useless here.

PMPS time in ten minutes.

Re: 12/5 Maverick PMPS /migraine

sorry to hear of your migraine....yes...it's not fun when one is sick dealing with FD as well....
hope he behaves for you!
i watched a program on tv (think it was Dr Oz or the Doctors) which said that if you mix a tsp of ginger root in a cup of hot water...basically making yourself some tea....no sugar added...it helps with migraines...worth a try if you'd like....

good night!

Re: 12/5 Maverick PMPS 76 /migraine

sorry too hear about your migraine understand your pain since I have about 3-4 a week anyway hope you are feeling better :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

I feel better  DH is glad he's going to work tomorrow - I am so grumpy the day after.

Maverick is doing great. I plan on getting him some nanners lol Reading the reviews on amazon was hilarious. I'd love to see if he'd carry them around the house.

I wonder if its just the organic catnip though. This is the only kind of catnip Maverick begs for. He'll come downstairs and look up at the shelf where its stored or just roll on the spot where we gave it to him last. I don't think petstore quality catnip is even a fraction as potent. I wonder if the organic catnip booth will have some. We'll find out on Wednesday at the craft fair.

Lisa - I used to get one sided migraines often and went on a preventative. It worked wonders for the non neck triggered ones. 3-4 a week is serious stuff - its borders on chronic and can make your pain receptors heightened permanently. Hope you are seeing a headache specialist/neurologist. Only 30% of triggers are ever known to migraine sufferers from what I've read. I went off the preventative about two years ago and the frequency is still down dramatically. And when I got my new glasses (with antiglare) they dropped even further. I only get non neck triggered migraines a couple times a month now. And the migraine drugs fix me up within 20 minutes.

Thanks for the suggestion for the tea. I will try that on the non evil ones.

Hi Karrie, Sorry to hear about your migraine. I get them, too, but they are nothing like what you describe. (And I don't get as many as I used to, and they are the kind that are over 1 eye. Sometimes I get the aura without the headache.). One of my friends (a cyclist) discovered that if she put an ice pack inside her bicycling helmet and wore the helmet all day, the pain went away.

Feel better tomorrow. Maverick looks great!

Ella
