Happy Sunday everyone! I am amazed at the fantastic day Mannie had yesterday, and so very grateful. :-D I wish cycles like these for every kitty that struggles with FD. After a low yellow start he spent the morning in the mid greens, surfing a nice 65 range green surf. The evening was spent with a really flat blue surf which seems carried forward to this morning, with a 182 pmps. I can only hope that he can repeat this today. paws crossed.

Mannie is doing well - one happy kitty. We had a cold but sunny day yesterday, and I was able to let him out for a while in between all those pokes. :roll: He just loves the outdoors - made all his rounds, checked all his fav spots in the yard, and a few good grass roll, rubs, chews, saunters. It was fun to watch him enjoy his outing. He'd come in for his test and fuds, and back out he'd go - repeat several times over. :cool: :cool: I had a good laugh last night - he's taken off for the basement, and in his absence Elsa decided it was the perfect time to play with his nanner pile. She got in maybe three minutes, before Mannie comes high tailin' it up the stairs right to his pile, and the staredown began. Nanner security breech - how does he know his stash has been raided when he is way off in another section of the house. omg! :lol: :lol: Normalcy this AM: fuds devoured, nanners secured, napping in progress. All is well in Mannieland. :cool: :-D ;-)

I received a text late last night for head Chef Mannie - apparently Essi's party was a huge success. Gracie's eel recipe was da-bomb, there were no leftovers, they had to make several batches of niptinis :shock: , Moonie sang her heart out, plus a nice duet with Rusty, Rusty's apprenticeship went well (it was reported that he sang opera while dicing and slicing), all the kitties danced until dawn and made sure everyone made it home safely. Mannie said it was so nice to see so many kitties there. They waved bye to Essi as she left for the falls, and hope that she will come back to visit now and then.

What a great day for Mannie yesterday! And that party--and all that great food--Bravo, Chef Mannie!! Rusty enjoyed his tasks and especially enjoyed singing with Moonie.
Hope you guys have a lovely day today. I wish we had some sun, but that doesn't seem to be in the picture for a few more days. It's great that Mannie still has grass to roll around in (we'll have snow-cover until April!!, maybe even mid-April).

Hi Ella - wow on the no grass for you - it sounds like you guys are snow covered til spring. somehow that sounds really nice - it must be so beautiful there. How wonderful! yes -i know - i am weird, but i do love it. maybe that's because we don't get that much of it... at least in the lowlands.

That is so funny about the nanner pile breach from the civie :lol: he is very protective of those nanners isn't he none of my cats like them that much I thought everyone here would go nanner crazy when I ordered them but no, a few licks and bites and they lay undisturbed almost daily. Do Lou does play with his maybe once a week. Mannie you are going the wrong way you need to turn around and go back the other way happy for the great day he had yesterday Michelle hope he keeps giving you good numbers :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Love the Nanner war!! Moonie's idea of playing is sitting in the middle of all her catnip toys :lol: :lol: --She also makes lovely art work when she has a food plate & the toys nearby, with the toys in the food!!--Lucy did the same art work--I have pictures of Moonie's creations :lol: :lol: :lol:

Great nanner story....Mannie the Nanner protector!! Watch out Elsa!!! Glad Mannie is getting out and about to survey his territory!! They do love that outdoors time. Gracie and Tobey have been out on their enclosed patio all morning...it's a little warmer today.

Guess there was something going on with the website...I also had a tough time posting so I'm behind. Hope you all have a great day in the PNW!!!

Mannie...the party was too awesome and Rusty did a GREAT job!!!! I hope Essi had lots of fun. Are you too tired or you wanna go do something? I could get some of the other kitties and we could all bring our nanners and just lay in the sun wif you!!

the boy does love his nanners, and very possessive. :lol: :lol: His sisters have to go for it whenever they can. Funny that he always knows when they do. Mannie's idea too of a great time is making that circle and sleeping in the middle, with one for his pillow. :lol: :lol:

So true Marjorie - he loves the outdoors as much as he loves his nanners. We have had some sun today too - it's still cold, but sunny. So I let him out again. He's so happy out there. Funny to watch is point his face into the breeze, get all squinty eyed and let the breeze ruffle his whiskers. It always brings a smile.

hi Marjorie - I think you are right - it's always the highest number of the day, well almost always, and yeah, my least fav # :-x . Day was nice - got a walk in, bills paid, a little more decor done outside, and now chillaxin' time tonight. YAY! Mike is headed home. SWEET! Enjoy your evening, and his arrival back at the homestead. :-D

Nanner update: this is funny. Every holiday Mannie and his sisters give gifts to other kitties in the family - silly, but tradition is tradition, so what to give. It seemed so logical that this year Mannie was giving Nanners. well duh!, it is his favorite. anyways the box arrived yesterday, and I've stored it in the office area. Mannie never goes in there, ever - so safe, right? well for whatever reason - today he does. That little nose was going at mach 3, he checked every nook and cranny in that room a dozen times over, explored every box that I have stored there. He finally settled on the one small box at the bottom of the pile. sure 'nuf: the nanner box. :lol: :lol: that box has been rubbed, pawed at, licked, slobbered on, sniffed, clawed and chewed. Guess I had better move it. I hope they survive until he is ready to give his presents to his aunties and uncles kitties... Mannie?: they are gifts, and its better to give than receive, right? Right Mannie? I swear he knew there were new nanners in the house.... :shock:

Michelle, He deserves those nanners after finding them when they were so carefully hidden away! I think you should get something else for the other kitties in the extended family. What a nose that Mannie has!!

Now that we've been told what Nanners are and how much cat's love them, I think Maverick and I should get into the nanner security business - selling "Nanner Theft Insurance" to cats living with nanner stealing civies. Nanners with real time gps and bait nanners.

198 @ +2. wow - a little surprised... then again this is Mannie. I didn't feed this any differently than I normally would at +2. I will get a +3 to see where he is headed tonight, and adjust food at that point if I need to.

Thank you so much for everything, the Party was a big success, Esmeralda has not re-copped yet, she has been all curled up most of the day, with her paws over her head. LOL.... Hang over perhaps LOL... Thank you so much for the menu Chef Mannie....

so what i am learning is that just because the kitties like one food for a long time, or short time, that doesn't mean anything..
so we really need to keep a shelf of all foods, all carbs, all everythings?
back to making a new list while i sit up, and trying to get as many different kinds of ALL carb foods!

they do get picky.....Rocket with his CRF makes matters worse....he wouldn't eat anything but FF chicken & liver....then out of nowhere he decided he's had enough...so get this....i bought one can of each darn can they had at the store....hit and miss and he ended up liking the Purina ProPlan ....ready for this...CHICKEN AND LIVER...same darn flavour different brand!!! go figure!

Hi Keri! you should see my shelf of cat fuds... :lol: :lol: I pretty much have a shelf full of all carbs, and different flavors within each carb. it's ridiculous - but I do use them :lol: :lol: It did take me awhile to stock that shelf, but I do have whatever I may need. It is nice too though that Mannie will eat anything and everything - which really helps. It is amazing what you can do to control numbers with just food...

Hi Claudia - oh that is too funny. CATS! You gotta love it...
