Good morning World! Yesterday's Special Story

AMPS 212

KT's in fine form this morning - already all 5 'P's' in place. I know he was blue during last night's cycle but not sure how low. It wasn't dangerously low as I leave food out and he feeds lows himself every time. I've learned that he looks for food when it's lower than about 130. This new dose back up to 2u's seems to be pushing the numbers down now rather than (KNOCK ON WOOD) bouncing this time. Pook, don't you DARE bounce 'cos I said that.

We had a few snowflakes fall about 8am but it's moving out leaving slush behind. BRRRRR! Hope everyone stays warm and dry today. Thoughts and prayers for Tawny and MamaBean as they're fighting those ugly things again. Also for MJ missing Donovan.

I'm adding an extra prayer today for my parent's black lab, Hobo, who evidently was attacked by an Owl or hawk yesterday and has lots of deep scratches and gouges around his head, ears and eyes. They had to take him to the emergency vet - I'm SO MAD I can't even think about it right now. Suffice to say they took $154 out of my 90 year old parent's pocket and did literally NOTHING! NOTHING! Didn't even wipe the blood off his ears. Sold her 3 pain pills that I pay $1 for at my vet - they charged her $15. All they did was write up 2 treatment plans while Hobo laid on the table still bleeding. !#$@#!#$#$!#@#$#$ It got worse but I'm not thinking about it any more...

HUGS to all,

Hi guys .. oh my gosh on your poor parents and hobo! Stuff like that makes me soooo angry .. I best just stop right now and start thinking about KT and his nice blues last night .. hoping this yellow amps turns blue before to long .. I won't be here much this week as peter has it off, so have a great week, and of course, extra prayers going out from us to hobo!

I hope KT continues with the more gentle curves, bouncing is no fun!

Poor Hobo! I'm seeing red too! My personal experiences with vets have all been basically positive, with really caring, devoted professionals. But I've read so many stories like this! Just how can they sleep!?!

Re: 12/5 KT AMPS 212 +3-288 Boingy Boingy

Hi guys,
I would think that a vet-clinic ER would have to worry about malpractice and would therefore do something for a dog brought in after being attacked by a large raptor. It is unbelievable that they did literally nothing for Hobo! Surely there are procedures to follow and questions to ask when examining bites by wild creatures (vaccinations up to date? allergies? etc, etc.) I am very sorry for Hobo and for your parents. Perhaps file a complaint with the certification board? Sending many healing vines to Hobo, and hoping he will be feeling better soon.

KT, that was a nice yellow AMPS. Let's go back down, now, OK?

That's far enough Kt, you don't really want to go BACK THERE! Do you?

I'd be seeing red too! Minimal would be to clean the wounds to see how serious the are. You can't do that through the blood. Ella is right about the certification board. I'd check into Angie's list too. If enough pet owners report things like this for their own surbival they will need to get better.

:YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: for your parents and you.
