Good Morning All,
This morning, I found Jessica pee on the couch again that was covered with plastic bag.
The Vet suggested to keep giving her antibiotic until this Friday.
I have Jessica new Blood Test and Urine Test. I will post it on my link later.
Thank you Wendy, Dyana and Julie for your valuable advices.

Thanks

Hi Ftsang.

I don't know if this will help with Jessica. With Ginger, after I thoroughly cleaned the couch cushion cover and foam (the best I could), I would let them dry out while I was at work by leaning them against the couch. I would then spray a bunch of cat repellant on the couch. It didn't smell too bad, but was kind of musky smelling. Eventually, the pee smell and the musky smell went away. Every once in a while, I would catch Ginger either getting prepared to pee on the couch by starting to scratch as if she was in an actual litter box, or actually in the act of peeing on the couch. I would scold her with one sharp word. A split second of a loud work like "No!". and she would jump off. You only want to scold her if you catch her in the act. Just so maybe she will relate something unpleasant with the peeing on the couch. I did give Ginger a time-out in either the basement or the bathroom for one minute without further words. I didn't see it as being necessary to make the time-out lengthy.
Now, I have J.D., who is older, going all the way into the litter box with all his feet, and then while still in a standing position lifting his tail up and peeing outside the box on the carpet. I put a pee pad in front of the litter box now, to get most of it.

I wish you luck with getting Jessica to stop the behaviour. I now how frustrating it is.

Would you be able to get some more AM tests this weekend? It's been awhile since there were AM cycle tests on her spreadsheet.

Thank Dyana.

Jessica always pee during the night time when we went to sleep or we were out to work. I never caught her in the act. I know if you punish her after she've already pee or poo has not impact on her and even hurt her feeling, since she can't relate the punishment with pee before. However, my wife quite frustrated and sometime loss her temper.
It like a routine to pee or sometime poo on the couch after she go UTI. Now, I cover the couch with plastic bag and the window screen on top of it but she still pee or poo onthe couch by going insdie the space between the window screen and the couch. It's really a headache.
I was consider put her back to basement for a while and see if she still pee or poo outside the litter box.
Where I can buy the cat repellant? In Pet shop?

Yes, I will take more AM test, but what is the purpose of this?
I'm consider up the dose back to 6U.

the products are called "Litter Attractants" and they have something in them to attract or draw the cat's attention to the litter. i haven't used them myself, but others have and i have seen them for sale. yes, some pet stores carry them. there is more than one brand available. If you google "litter attract" you'll find it's for sale in multiple places, including Amazon.

the reason dyana is suggesting more testing is because Lantus is dosed based upon the low point of each cycle. we can't really see how low this dose is taking her and want the dose to be appropriate.

Frankie, i'm looking again at Jessica's labs from June - the phosphorus i was mentioning to you in your last condo - can you look and see exactly what the reference range is? i think i'm seeing that her current value was 5.1 and the reference range is 2.4 to 5.2. Is that 5.2 correct? that's what i was thinking it says when i said her phos looks high. it's just hard to read clearly on the pdf.

Thanks, Julie.
I going to get the latest blood and urine test result from my Vet Saturday so that I can give you more updated info concerning Jessica.
The reference range is 2.4 - 8.2. If you look at the next test date June 8, it stated 2.4 -8.2 and the result was 4.7 in June and 5.1 in Aug.
