+4 549! It's still black, but hey, it's downward movement, so I'll take it! ;)

You're welcome! :joyful: It's always been my experience with cats.

I used to hate it when the meter greeted me in the morning. :arghh:

Darn...Wendy beat me to the space cat!!!! She is serious about this bounce.

Is she feeling ok? No indication of anything going on?
It's not like she'd be super obvious about it if something were going on, unfortunately. She hasn't been out of sorts, appetite good, alert, affectionate, peeing and pooping okay.

She only has 2 back teeth left and they have given her issues on and off for the past couple of years. Caps of hardened tartar have been removed twice. Every vet I've talked to says she's too old to have them extracted now, not sure if I trust that, but that's the only major health thing...that I am aware of besides a potential CRF diagnosis (vets disagree, BUN and creatinine have actually improved sometimes and that's not supposed to happen). I have 4 sets of labs on my SS with various weird high things. I want to take her in and just get BW done when nothing is wrong because all the others were for crisis situations (UTIs, mostly). I'm making her an appt soon about arthritis and will get BW done as well.

I'm really hoping she just thought the moon was made of cheese and decided to go investigate for herself and will be back to business shortly when she realizes it was just a myth! She doesn't even like cheese.

Well I'm stumped, I almost can't believe those highs, they just seem so out of place! Glad Miss Asia is still feeling well, hope this is a really short lived bounce. Time to put the space boots away, and slide on some flip-flops :)

We have had a lot of contractors (several men) in and out of the apartment for the last two days (and another one tomorrow). She's normally a very people person cat and wants to love everybody, but maybe she's been a little frightened since there are strange people in her space, they are not here to visit with us beans and they move unpredictably (she can't hear anymore)? She hasn't exhibited any fear behavior/hiding nothing like that, but who knows. It seems like a huuuuuge stretch for a bounce to the moon like that, but it's the only thing that stands out to me right now that's different about yesterday and today.

Jeez Asia! I could hardly believe my eyes!!

Glad she's coming down some, hope she slides down gently into nicer numbers.

Any chance a contacted gave her some contraband???

I highly doubt it. You could lay out 10 things cat's are supposed to love in front of her and chances are she'd smell them, turn up her nose and give you the "and what do you expect me to do with that?" look and walk away.

What a trip today Asia!!:woot:

Wouldn't be a shocker if she was stressed by the contractors. I think they can sense when its our family and friends. When its complete strangers I'm sure they know the difference.
275 is a very respectable PMPS. Keep an eye on that girlo_O

I agree, they definitely know who is friend and who is just dropping by. I just would have a hard time believing it could stress her that much to make the BG that high. Certainly the vets office is more stressful, but from what I understand, they wouldn't go that high at a vet visit, or would they? o_O I'm basing info off non diabetic cats can be in the 200s during a vet visit, so if she were in euglycemic numbers prior to this stress, that should be a similar phenomenon, no?
