? 12/5/19 Dosage Decrease for Zeke?

Is it too soon to decrease? Other than the AM242 after I fearfully gave 1.5 that PM, he’s been in amazing numbers!!
Do I need to wait a full week of greens only? Thanks

Hi Bonnie, it doesn’t appear that he has earned a reduction yet. This is the 5th cycle on 2 units since the cycle count starts over when you shot the reduced dose of 1.5.

He’s looking good and I bet won’t be too far away from earning a reduction. But a word of advice , please always get some test in during the PM cycles. Most cats drop lower in the PM and you shot a few green PMPS without anymore test.

With TR, you reduce if the numbers drop below 50 if your cat is within a year from diagnosis or if your cat is in normal numbers for a week. Zeke isn't quite there yet.

And, at least some PM tests would be good.

Ok I’ll wait. I cannot get any numbers after 8p on work nights, as I have said, I am gone. This is why I had been anxious to get dosage advice at that time, at times. Off tonight and tomorrow. Will get some then. Thanks

I am gone to work, I’ve tried to explain to everyone.
Will get pm numbers tonight and tomorrow. Thanks

I might have missed that as I haven’t been online for a bit. Are you saying you work nights? If so, do the best you can. Grab test when you can. All data is good data and helps to know how low the dose takes Zeke.

ETA: I just saw your other response about after 8 on work nights. Working really sucks when taking care of diabetic cats. LOL

All in all, he’s looking really good.

That’s ok, it’s very difficult to help people understand a night shift schedule, and yes, to have a diabetic cat on it, as well. He doesn’t mind but everyone else does!!:cat:
As you can see, I try to make up for the lack on my nights off... that is the part he doesn’t care for! :( I I am so pleased with how he’s doing, this is very exciting !! Thanks for the encouragement :)
