Good morning LL!

Happy furry purry this morning with all 5 p's present. Sunny yellow start but that is a-ok. T was settled in watching AP when I left.

OT: No running for me for a few weeks. I went to the podiatrist yesterday and have a Morton's Neuroma in my right foot, which is what I knew it was. Four years ago I had the nerve removed on my left foot because of one. This podiatrist doesn't like the surgery so he gave me a nice fat steroid shot to try and get the nerve to settle down. The good news is that it is just going to be inconvenience and painful and won't actually cause damage to anything else. New running shoes and wide toe box shoes for me and no more of those cute heels I have stocked in my closet for work. I just got a new pair of boots last week that are so cute. Bummer. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Oh RATS on the Morton's neuroma. Sometimes I get a little pain in that area but try to be careful. New running shoes are the way to go. I get the custom insoles made, and that helps me since I am a little biomechanically out-of spec and injure easily. Bummer on not being able to run for a while. But luckily it isn't something that spreads like you said. Some of the new boots are really cute - I got a pair with the low heels that look like riding boots. It's so funny because I have $30 paddock boots and some of the new boots look very much like them! I'm tempted to clean the horse poop off mine and wear them to work and see if anyone notices. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Bummer on the neuroma. My younger sister has that and has the shots as well. She hasn't had surgery but until she started the shots she said it was very painful. Sorry you can't run! Take care of yourself!

Morning Melissa, bummer and ouchie on the Morton's Neuroma. I hope the steroid shot helps the pain. I have mega feet problems from the RA, and I like some of the New Balance wide toe shoes. I bought a pair of Brooks running shoes last time, and they have worked out well.
Tarragon, enjoy that AP today with Charlie and Turnup. Maggie likes AP, too. Sometimes i leave the Christmas carols for her, too.

Melissa that stinks on the neuroma, I run too and I would be devastated if I couldn't work out. I do love cute boots too. Sending healing vines your way! :-D

Mr. T is looking good, but sorry about no running. I get shin splints, but have found that biking and rowing are no problem.
 
I can't believe that no one before Lyresa noticed the rainbow!! That's an easy key to hit by mistake. I did it once, too (on my iPad, not on the computer).

Anyway, glad to see that T. is just fine. And sorry to hear about your foot. I had so many problems with my feet when I was a young woman, and they were all because I wore shoes that didn't fit properly. Finally, in Germany, I bought a pair of Dr. Scholl's wooden exercise sandals and wore them all the time when I was indoors. I literally wore them out, and my feet haven't bothered me since. Do you have high arches? If so, running shoes that are slip-lasted, cushioned, designed for under-pronators (supinators), and with no "motion-control" features are recommended. I hope you'll be back on the roads in no time.

So sorry Lyresa and thank you for the call Liz. I instantly looked at my iPad when "Anne & Liz-AZ" came up on my phone. Busted!!! :lol: Tarragon is fine, laying on his back watching Rudolph.

Ella - I need to go get my gait evaluated. That is next on my list so I can get the right shoes. The podiatrist, who is not a runner, just said to make sure it has a wide toe box. I can't help but think it has something to do with the way I am landing on my feet though. However, it has never hurt while I am running. That could be adrenaline. Or it could be my RA. I will definitely look at those shoes. Thank you for the link!!
 
Hi Melissa. I'm sorry about the 'no running'. I hope the injection relieves your pain. It's probably a different med, but last year, before i had back surgery, I got the shot for pain, and it was a lifesaver. I pray you'll feel better. Foot pain is awful!
I'm so glad I didn't see the rainbow. MY heart started pumping faster, just reading about it here.

I am SOOOO glad I missed the accidental rainbow - phew...I didn't need a heart attack tonight!

I know all about foot problems. I had to have bunion surgery on both my feet (at separate times!). I feel fortunate...it really was the best thing I could have done...I had reached the point where weven driving with shoes on was painful. I hope your foot gets better ASAP. HUGE bummer about the boots. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a boot hoarder...I've got over 25 pairs (no exageration!). It's the only thing that gets me through cold winters....
