just realized today is 1 year since punkin was diagnosed with diabetes. what a year this has been! i'm not glad for it, but i certainly have learned a ton about feline health and nutrition, and my kitters will be the better for it in the future.
ornery testing this morning - punkin has mastered the art of flicking his ear perfectly just at the moment you want to do something with it. doesn't matter if it's the poke or the test strip, just as you creep your hand closer *FLICK* at the perfect moment. but we got it despite his "help." he purred and cheered through the food prep, gobbled down the pill pockets, and put his face down in his bowl to suck it up while DH shot him. what a good boy! cat_pet_icon
at the moment he's stretched out on the bamboo floor where it's cool and is snoozing.
don't know whether it's these chinese herbs, the acupuncture or both, but last night he got up on the sofa back, jumped to the table about a foot away as he's been doing for the past week. then he leapt from there to the dining room table - at least 2 ft away. haven't seen that in probably 2-3 years. despite being thrilled at him being able to do that, i still yelled at him and he jumped down off the table. it's just SO amazing to see him jumping all over the place. he's full of something!
