Yesterday, mostly blue with hints of green and yellow.

12/3 Recap:
AMPS 92  +3 205 +9 81
PMPS 129 +3 192 +9 101

This morning I had problems with a particularly bubble-icious syringe. Not sure I got rid of all of them so Neko might have gotten shorted on the insulin. :YMSIGH: And it's now 5 cycles since her reduction so I'm hoping madly that +3 is not an indicator of anything. I was pretty sure she was going high before I tested her +3 because she came into the kitchen but it was past all her meal times.

It's another beautiful sunny day (one left before dreaded sn*w forecast to arrive). Cats are taking advantage of the weather in the solarium, in spite of the fact that there is ice on the water bowl. Neko did not want out today - too cold. She's really become a fair weather outdoor cat. I'm OK with that.

OT: Exciting day at the boathouse today. We ordered a "new" shell for the club and it's supposed to arrive today. The quad was purchased as used, as that's the only way we can afford it. But it has only been lightly used - to help the Canadian women's 4 team win silver at the recent world championships. Wahoo! Can hardly wait to try her out in the spring. I'm hope to head down when it arrives to take pictures.

I hate fighting bubbles in syringes. Some syringes are worse than others. I hope Neko comes back down soon. How exciting on your "new" purchase.

Re: 12/4 Neko AMPS 124 +3 291

Hi Wendy! Stupid bubbles, sometimes I find myself flicking the same one around and around until my fingertip protests. Couldn't they make syringes that are more slanted inside so the bubbles want to leave instead of hanging around? Very cool about the "experienced" shell - something to look forward to!

I seem to get the worst bubbles when I am in a hurry from being late for a shot.

I hope Neko has a blue PMPS (almost there) and is saving some greens for tonight.

Hi, Wendy, Neko had a nice amps this morning :-D
I hope she came down more for you today.
Have a good night! Stay warm and cozy!

I'm with Dyana..worst bubble times are when I'm running late. Then I get so fed up syringes hit the sink one after another
Come on down now Neko. Too many Tuna Toddies today?

Congrats on the acquisition with a cool history! Gotta love that. Have a great night Wendy!

+9 211 PMPS 140
She's moving down at a good clip. Much better number tonight. :-D And tonight's syringe was a lot better. Actually this whole box has been pretty good - I'm down to the last bag. I always dread starting a new box because it seems some boxes are a lot worse than others.

@Carla - We have just the BD's in Canada, renowned for their bubbles. :YMSIGH: Neko did turn it around, as usual for her day cycle.

@Amy - I think I was flicking the same bubble up and around today. Shell is arriving right now - DH went down to unload. Figures it would happen at PS time. But he took a camera. Truck was delayed getting here from Ontario due to the Trans Canada closure in Alberta.

@Dyana - I was also wondering if it's end of cartridge bubbles. With Lantus cartridges, I always found them more bubbly at the end. Day 68 of this Lev cartridge, still got a few days yet in it though. You were right on the blues and yes, she does like to save her diving for night time.

@Josie - Nice AMPS, and not bad nadir (often a preshot). Might be time for kitties and fleeces tonight. It's already below freezing outside.

@Kim - I wasn't in a hurry today, just bad luck and I was stubbornly not wanting to toss the syringe. I think Neko was just giving me a day pass today. Probably going to make up for it tonight. I hope the new shell has the maple leaf on it, one of our other national team acquisitions did.

Re: 12/4 Neko AMPS 124 PMPS 140

Hi Wendy,
Neko, lookin' good this evening! With the Terumos we draw the insulin very, very slowly. Then flick to get the bubble(s) up to the top and congealed into 1 bubble. Center the bubble under the base of the needle and do a quick and deft "push pull". The bubble goes out and you're good to get your dose correct and shoot. Maybe the quick and deft thing will work on the BDs, too.

Exciting news about the new shell. I'll bet the winter will go by quickly with you and your team mates thinking about rowing!

Have a fine evening.

Re: 12/4 Neko AMPS 124 PMPS 140

Nice recovery! I bet that little blip was due to the bubblicious syringe. Soul sista is crossing her paws that her Canadian best friend will hold the reduction :-D

Surfing - within meter variance.

@Ella - The problem today was multiple bubbles. And sometimes when you flick, the bubble splits in half. And then it didn't want to centre in the middle. Bubble was clinging to the side. The new shell is home and all wrapped in bubble wrap so I don't know what it looks like in spit of the photo DH took. Now comes the fun of deciding on a name for the boat.

@Anne - Blue and yellow so far today, maybe green later. I hope. Cool new logo for Rio.

@Marje - Paws crossed Neko joins her Soul Sista soon. I think they were shivering in sympathy today at the weather.
