Morning LL! Moonie is doing OK and is doing well today..She hasnt had a poo since 12/1 which causes me to worry--Need to get a new miralax & increase her dosage..Been giving it to her once every day or every pther day, think she needs more--Suggestions happily accepted..Will look into the coconut oil for her also.
She is quite attentive when she is alone with me & gives lots of head butts & affection..But the cypro makes her tired, so she naps a lot. She eats about a can every meal, sometimes less, sometimes more..so picky now with the flavors!!! One day she likes T & G next day she doesnt! ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile confused_cat
But I am thankful for the time we have together, and she is getting used to being here, is more comfortable in these surroundings. Hope today finds all kitties & Beans well--Hugs & Love from us!

Sending poo vines for Miss Moonie, it seems like a lot of kits have been having problems lately. Anne & Liz do a tummy massage for Zener when he doesn't eat well, i wonder if that would help. Also check the lists for higher calorie food. She won't need to eat as much if she is getting more calories.

It's good to see things are settling down for everyone. Hopefully she produces some more miracle poo soon!
 
Sending poo vines also, hope you see some soon. I have heard pumpkin helps too for pooing? Never tried it, Scrabble fortunately has no problems pooping. Glad you and Moonie are settling in and you are enjoying your time together. Have a great day!

Hi Roni, sending poo vines for sweet Moonie. Mags had prezzies yesterday. Sometimes she only goes once in three days, but she has the Megacolon thingy. You may just have to increase a little more and try giving twice a day. I sure hope by end of day she has some prezzies. How are you feeling, Roni. Hugs and lots of scritches for Moonie.

HI Roni. Sending poo vines, also. Miralax works nicely for Tux. I give an eight to a fourth teaspoon. I keep forgetting to thank Ann (Maggie) for the suggestion.
I'm glad Miss Moonie is liking her new apt., and is settling in.

Moonie's numbers look great! She's doing so well. :smile: If she's getting constipated a lot now, you might want to consider making a small dose of miralax part of her regular regime. Maybe 1/8 tsp 2x day. I give Racci 1/4 tsp bid but she's a big girl. I give it to her in a syringe so I know she got the whole thing and don't have to worry about her missing it on the days she doesn't eat well. (like today) :smile: I hope she makes a nice poop.

Detective Poo checking in on Miss Moonie. We give both Zener and Tillie 1/8 t of miralax, twice a day, with extra water since the miralax absorbs water in the intestine. Definitely time for a poo from you, Moonie!

Nice numbers for sweet Moonie:) Sending her tons of poo vines and hope she gets some lb action soon!
Miralax works for us over here but we've also had some luck with slippery elm bark. Marje can probably tell you a bit more about the recipe she uses but I just break the capsule open and mix half of the powder in a bit of cold water until it becomes a jelly and then syringe it in the mouth.

So, Detective Poo has checked in and is wanting to see a litterbox contribution soon, Miss Moonie! Are you putting water in her food, Roni? Miralax apparently needs extra water to work well.

It was so warm here today that I think it must have been summer-like on L.I. Moonie must be enjoying the weather--those are really good numbers today. It's great that she has appetite (despite the fact that she doesn't always like the food selection!). Hang in there, mamabean!!

Moonie looks good today! Sending those poo vines....gosh I hate it when they don't poo, don't you?? I give Spot Miralax twice a day, every day. When he gets really constipated, I throw some pumpkin in there. The last time he was really bad so I was worried about him. I saw that someone suggested the Slippery Elm Bark so I bought some, gave him 1/2 cap at both meals then found out that it really wasn't good to give to a CKD kitty. BUT it did help! So back to miralax.
