Good evening everyone!
What a day! Lou's been on a mission every since we lowered him to 1.0u dose. He's already had 2 limes, so we were just waiting for the third to reduce to 0.75u. Instead of having another 48, which seems to be his new normal, he decided to really earn it by hitting 39! It's been so long since he's been in the 30s (Since August, I had to go back and check), that I think my heart skipped a beat before I jumped into action, getting him some HC food (higher low carb food usually does the trick when he's in the 40s).
The reduction wouldn't have been noteworthy really, but he vomited quite a bit of white foam just before his +6 meal, which he's never done before. He refused his +6 meal, but finally ate about half when I switched out flavors. Then he only ate about half of his HC meal after the 39, which has also never happened (he LOVES his HC gravy!). To say I was a bit nervous was an understatement (I've been spoiled, he's usually such a good eater that I rarely have to worry about it).
Thankfully he ate more of his HC leftovers before dinner and ate a good portion of his dinner so I felt okay about giving him his insulin. He seems to be eating better this evening, so I'm hoping it was just an upset tummy that was helped by a nice nap. What a rascal anyway.
So here we are at 0.75u, which feels absolutely insane to me. Just think, 6 months ago Lou was at 2.75u. I still cannot believe the progress he's made, and I certainly hope it continues.

I hope you all have a wonderful night and your kitties surf safely!
