Another exciting cycle for Lightning last night....here's the recap:

AMPS this morning wasn't too bad considering, so we gave him another dose decrease to 2.0u. Hope that wasn't a bad idea since he was higher to start with. So we'll see what happens for the rest of today...Going to give his ears a rest for a bit though, not sure when I'll get my next test. I'm almost out of hypo food since I used so much of it at once, so now I need to get over to Petsmart and pick some more up!

Good question!!! It was a long night on the couch that's for sure....only got a few hours in my actual bed!! I'm thinking a nice cat nap this afternoon will do the trick!

The dosecrease was the right thing to do Pamela....
Those were unbelievable numbers all day yesterday Lightning! You earned it for sure!!!

Thanks Pat....wasn't sure on that decision today, especially with the mid-yellow AMPS. But hopefully yesterday was him telling me that his little body was doing what it was supposed to and that he doesn't need as much insulin anymore....or at least that's what I'll THINK he was telling me!

So agreed on the dose decrease - Lightning sure did earn it yesterday. I hope you guys have a nice restful day. It is nice just to see yellows today - not a bad bounce from yesterday's lows at all.

Just woke up from my 2 hour nap (sooooooo nice!) and Lighting is back into the blues at 180! Woohoo!! Nice to see that!

Michelle, you're right, not a bad bounce at all....it could be MUCH worse, so I'm glad to see mid-yellow that's for sure.

Ugh...didn't expect (or want for that matter) to see PINK today!! At least its a low one and hopefully he'll be back in the yellows in a few hours.

Ugghhh...+4 and only at 293. Well, guess that definitely means I get some sleep tonight but I would rather Lightning have a better number :sad: Guess there's always tomorrow....
