Good Morning LL! Tess was hungry this morning and when I had to go in the other room she decided the heck with waiting. I came back to breffis finished and Tess still on the counter. :lol: She never goes up there. She was good about getting her shot though. The bean is moving slow this morning and thought, give the ears a rest w/ a yellow AMPS. First +2 test was 55, I thought "I didn't get a good drop of blood I'll try again", 49. ohmygod_smile I still had a hard time getting a good drop of blood, but we fed 8% and will recheck in 30 minutes. This woke me up!

WCR All 5 Ps again and showing us who's boss around here.

Holy cow!!! Looks like Tess means business and is wanting to kick the NY off with some good numbers. Don't you always do the math in your head? Ok...she's at 222 and if se falls 50 an hour, I'll still be ok....NOT....stinkin' kittens :lol: :lol: :lol: She just really wanted to get your attention this morning.

WHOA - and look at Tess go! Very nice, but so much for not much testing... I think she has other ideas.

Too funny with her on the counter - bet she knew she was going low, and hey mom - wake up, check me, fed me. They alwasy seem to keep us hopping.

TESS: I want the Good Stuff! Fed 14% Taste of the Wild. Still not convinced of the tests. The blood was spreading out not beading up, so I'm not sure of how well it was drawn up. It seemed to take longer than usual and too small a sample can result in a low number.

What a way to wake up! Tess and Mannie are on opposite ends today. Come on up and surf, Tess. Do you really want to be poked all day? Do you have a spare meter you can use to check those numbers, Ann? I agree that the small drop can read low, too. I hope you have a wonderful New Year's Eve and a very Happy New Year!

+3~49 fed .225 oz 14% again w/ a touch of 18% gravy this time. This is a new meter and backup is on order, my OTU strips are way outdated. I shouldn't have used up all the Maxima strips! ohmygod_smile I did do a solution test and it was smack in the middle of the range. I got a good drop of blood this time too. Back in 30

still at 49! We are close to nadir and she isn't dropping so I don't want to overcarb or pull out the Karo. Feeding 14% again.

Wow...she's not letting go of that number...at least you are keeping her from dropping. You'd think with that consistent of a number that your meter is working ok. Always good to have a backup. You know...you could try the OTU just to see. My Contour strips are a month out of exp but I tried it the other day and they still gave a reading consistent with my OTUM.

I'm sure the meter is fin since the testing solution read correctly. Now I'm wondering if Taste of the Wild is really 14%. It's not on the list and I had to rely on the info on the website. So much for conserving strips till my new order gets in. :roll:

Stubborn kitty! Upped the amount of 18%. I know she will be safe w/ monitoring, I just don't want to overdo it and kill the surf.

What strips are you using - not part of the recall right? The issue with the recalled strips is how it sucks up the blood I think. Wonder if they still read accurately when using test solution. I've never done it.

These drops give my stomach butterflies and I'm just reading the numbers in condos. Hope she starts surfing higher numbers soon.

Finally! But it was only half an hour after food. No food now and back in an hour.

No Karrie, we just switched to the Infinity meter. Most of my concern was that Tess wasn't bleeding much and I worried that the drop of blood wasn't big enough.

Down a little again, not feeding and retest in an hour. I wonder id her nadir is changing or if this is just a low cycle? But I think I can safely say....

Boing! Tess took care of that in short order. Tess just had a great play session w/ the fur mouse and was begging for food. I guess she feels good in the higher numbers.

Great day today - it is so great to have Tess back: Kawabunga Kitty! Not too bad of a bounce either - I hope her PM cycle is as good.
