12/31 Socks amps 158NS, 188 +1.25

Sorry I'm new here and was just looking for advice on if I should give my cat Socks her morning insulin shot. Her amps was 158, her +1.25 number is 188. I know i read under 200 to wait and see. Since her numbers went up 30 in 1 hour is this an indicator she needs her shot or do I still wait until she is over 200? Thank you!

Can you monitor if you give insulin? Do you have enough test strips and high carb food?

You've shot 194 before and 188 is not very different

Hi Kelsey & Socks, welcome.
If you shoot now, can you monitor? Do you have a hypo kit and testing supplies?
Will shooting an hour and a half late throw you off schedule too much? If you shoot now, you can shoot 11 hours 30 minutes tonight.

188 is not to far off from 200 considering meter variance. Do you feel comfortable giving the shot now?

Ok i just was nervous I was doing it wrong before so I was scared to give the shot without getting opinions lol thank you guys. I have plenty of supplies and will give the shot and will keep testing. How do I chart that i gave a late shot on the spreadsheet? Do I just delete my previous preshot number and start the numbers over for today?

So in the AMPS column, put 188 @13.25, then the units in the unit column. Good job shooting
