Good Morning, Everyone and Happy New Year's Eve!
Linda is here after a very difficult drive (awful roads; of course we are having bad weather!). But it's a good thing she came yesterday and not today, because we have a winter-weather advisory and winter-travel advisory today: as of 8 A.M. it is raining on top of the small amount of snow we got yesterday and the roads are "hazardous".
Rusty had a good night and this morning we had a good test, breakfast, shot, and he wanted to go out to watch the squirrels, but the nasty weather made him think better of that idea. Linda is just getting up. She brought Rusty the neatest toys and he really enjoyed playing with them last night. One is a sack with a bird sound inside that activates when you rustle the sack. He can either sit on top, or go inside as if it were a paper bag. I see great fun ahead! Linda also brought him a wand toy with about 6 different feather, string combinations that can be attached. Also great fun.
Edward has started another loaf of bread and when it is done I will make the lentil soup for midnight. I hope the rain will stop so that we can enjoy a walk in the village.
Thanks for visiting yesterday. I will probably not be back on the board until sometime this afternoon. In the meantime, we are sending thoughts of comfort to Michelle on the passing of BJ, and to Lyresa on the passing of Peanut, and healing vines to Sid, Rocket, Zener, and all kitties and beans who need them.
Ella & Rusty (and Linda)
Hey Kitties: The barn is all decorated for New Year's Eve and I can't wait for you all to get here this evening so that the party can begin. The deer family is coming, too. See you later! All kitties invited. Please come and help ring in the New Year!
