Kitties: Today is the day! We party and celebrate the New Year at Rusty's, with an old fashioned barn dance and elegant buffet! and -- we have our very own MC: BINKS! Get your party hats on kitties - let's go!! ~~ Chef Mannie

WOW, and what to say this morning. A not so great cycle(s) yesterday, an even worse start this morning... I can't remember the last time we have had a number so high - May I think. Mannie and I have been at this for a longggggggggg time, and one would think that after so many times with series of numbers that were equally as bad that you would be used to seeing a black number. well - you're not. It is what it is, and we move forward, and hope that this ugliness will be a thing of the past sooner than later. :roll: OMG!, and what a crappy start to the day. Wish I knew where this was coming from.... Mannie? cheerio as they say and off we go! :-D

And Mannie is just fine - would would never know that he is running as high as he is. Normalcy for the boy. Breffis could not be served fast enough, and he let me know it. "Faster woman!" :roll: Clean plate club status maintained, catnip toys piled up like the nanners :shock: , nanners moved, shuffled, stacked, unstacked, circle reestablished, and napping on top of the pile in progress. :cool: Mannie feels good, is purry and content. This is good.

OK Friends!! Are you guys ready? We are off to Rusty's for our New Years Eve Party! A barn party! We will have dancing and singing, and grilling and cooking, and eating and drinking, and everything! Thank you Rusty for letting us come to your place. WOOT! The tour bus is all set, snow tires on, still decked out for the holidays, and my uncle says we can have it all night - so YAY!, and let the party begin. :cool: :cool:

is just a number and Mannie always comes down. I'm glad he is feeling fine and doing all things Mannie. After all, he has a BIG day today!! I think he's just giving you the chance to spend more time with Nicholas!!

Another stellar menu planned. I have to say that these kitties' social lives are wearing me out not to mention what we are spending for clothes for them!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: And thankfully we have unlimited texting or I don't know how I would keep track of Gracie and Tobey :lol: :lol:

Morning guys! Happy New Year! I hope everyone has a great celebration tonight - and a good start for 2011. All of us in MannieLand are looking forward to a great 2011.

Hi Sienne - well I am with you on that one. No clue where these numbers are coming from, unless it is a high before the break. If not, and things continue in this vein then back up we go. I really struggle with that fat quarter unit dose - maybe that is part of the problem here. well - will see how the day pans out, and if things aren't better than back to the 3.00 units.

Hi Marjorie. omg on that 547. been a long time since we have had a number like that for Mannie. A real heart-breaker.... but YES: sometimes I really think Mannie senses when I have a busy day - and he gives me numbers that will allow me to be gone. We are having a post Xmas get together with my eldest son who has not been able to see Nicholas yet, so I will be gone for a while today. Too funny on the texting - TRUE! only way to keep tabs on these kitties! :lol: :lol:

Mannie, what's cooking with you, with the high number, not the food. But the menu looks absolutely scrumptious! Maggie's ready, but uh, did you say snow? Hope Mannie comes down today.

I check in daily for the Nanner security report. I wish Maverick would do something interesting like this :mrgreen:

Hi Ann - and thanks. He's working on it, and the day is still young! :-D -- Mannie says to tell Maggie not to worry - there is snow up north, but Rusty, and Mannie, are pros at snow driving, and all is well. :cool: What a life these kitties live, eh?

Hi Barb - and thanks - I hope he does too. the +2 was encouraging. I believe he will - but wow - that number was so not Mannie. UGH! And thanks - son #1 is looking forward to being able to see his new nephew for the first time. He is so not used to babies - this will be fun!

Hi Karrie - thanks to you too... I try, not too sure if I'd say pro :lol: but have been at it for a long time. Mannie can be a challenge... :lol: Loved the Felix the cat - it is Felix, isn't it? Too fun on the daily nanner report - it's the highlight if Mannie's day - funny, he spends so much time checking on them.

Hi Marjorie - yep Mannie gets off easy today. One more @ +4, and we will see where we go from there. It will be good to get son #1 over to see his nephew - He works long days and equally long hours and hasn't been able to go and see the little guy yet. should be fun. :-D Too funny on the New Years Eve dress. :lol: :lol: :lol:

I about fell out of my chair when I saw your subject line. ((((Michelle)))) It doesn't matter how long you've been doing this, the black number is shocking and ugly. I am really glad to see that Mannie is already coming down. I hope you have a wonderful New Year's Eve and a Happy New Year.

Oh Michelle, I feel your pain on the high numbers...Tinkles has had more than his fair share of them too. What always helps me grin and bear it is that Tinkles never seems to have ill effects from them either...you can't tell when he's in the 500s or the 50s...he's the same happy kitty either way! Often the next cycle is green, too. Hang in there, you know he will come down.....I hope it's SOON! If not, there's always the dosecrease option...you did hear that dosecrease threat, right Mannie?

Oh, UGGGGH, Michelle. Certainly is a nasty numbers day for Mannie, but you are handling it like a champ, what else can you do, huh. I'm just wondering if there may be any chance that Mannie got into something he shouldn't have and it just hasn't worked it's way out of his system? Possibly something that fell on the floor. Spot is really good at finding stuff that has fallen on the floor and inhaling it. Whatever it is, I hope that he turns himself around. If not, then yep, dose crease seems to be in order.

Master Chef Mannie, that is one beautiful menu!! Safe driving. We're having a thaw (it's in the 40s!!!), so all the snow is melting over the roads and it will probably freeze later.
Michelle, I feel for you with that black number, but you're right: it's only one number. Do you think it might be your new meter that's whacky? Why don't you go back to the old one and see what you get.
Rusty has finished cleaning up the barn and has been supervising me in the kitchen. Edward's beautiful bread fell and we had to go out and buy some loaves!!! I think it's because of the warm spell: we're having a heat wave here!!

Hi Ella - I don't think it is the meter as we are on day 8 with it (???) - but will do a comparison tonight and see, just as a precaution. Oh NO on Edward's bread - what a shame - I am sorry - it sounded so wonderful. Imagine 40 being a heat wave! :lol: :lol: and we are freezing at 25. and watch out for that melting snow - i hate it when it freezes at night - such a skating pond. hey - maybe you could go ice skating. :?

DH made some chex mix the other day - I thought of that - Mannie does love the stuff. No sign though that he has been in it - :lol: :lol: we can always tell cuz he leaves this face plant from where he dives in aND chews away... -- and you are right - what else can you do - you ride it out, see what the next cycle/day brings, and hope for better. if not: DOSE INCREASE MANNIE.

Hi Laurie - I hear you - I look at Mannie and he is fine - normal, i honestly can't tell the difference from today and a couple of night ago where we were in the 40/50 range. So - it obviously doesn't bother him. he 's just happy - life goes on for him.

Hi Ann - yeah I do remember your Christmas Eve - I hoping this is just one bad day for him - they all do it from time to time. and yes - know too the downer feeling - you just want to sit a cry. 421 @ PMPS. I did a comparison with my old Maxima - which read 388, which is approximately a 10% variance. So...... within the range. I know that with the other comparisons I did with the new meter when I got it that it did run consistency higher than the old one, all within what I thought would be considered meter variance. ????

Well, pmps is down. YAY!, and we shall see what happens with the pm cycle.

Celi - that is so great - I LOVE it - I had seen a similar one before - but not with the dog. Very very funny, and thanks!!!!
