Good Morning LL and Happy New Years Eve!

I am back with my kitty! I showed up late last night just in time for Leo's +3 and he came in at a nice 108, DGp was quite surprised at the number, its the lowest number he's had all week. I hugged him up and of course he acted pissy with me, even gave me some growls! What a cat!!!

We had a good test, shoot and feed this morning, Leo came downstairs to wake me up this morning with some headbutts and purrs. He purred up a storm throughout testing and his shot too. What a good boy. We hugged for awhile after he ate too, i sure did miss my kitter this week.

Quite the flight i had yesterday, on take off we ran into a flock of ptarmigans, the worlds stupidest birds. Anyway, we aborted takeoff and had to wait for an engineer to fly up and clear our plane for flying. So we waited all afternoon in the terminal playing cards. It seems like every week we get either fogged in, our plane can't fly because of mechanical reasons and now ptarmigans  At this point i'm ready to start driving the 12 hours to work.

BTB for Leo and i for a bit, then condo visiting! Have a great new years eve all!

Re: 12/31 Leo AMPS 227

Hi Tracy, I think Leo is so happy to see you he's giving low numbers. Of course, they show you how mad they are first, but then get over it! Glad you made it safely home and wow with the delays and birds. I don't think I've ever had a flight back east without a delay, but thank goodness I don't travel often. Enjoy your btd and time with Leo.

Re: 12/31 Leo AMPS 227

Beautiful start for Leo, and on top of a great night, not a bounce in sight!

 Wow on the birds! I'm glad it happened on take off, not mid-flight! Anyway you are home safe and Leo couldn't be happier.

Re: 12/31 Leo AMPS 227

  oh wow on the birds... sheshhh. If it's not one thing it is another... I too might consider driving - sounds like maybe you'd get home sooner!

I love Leo's welcome home greeting - sounds like the ones I used to get too. He loves his mom!

Enjoy your day today - Leo, aim for the lower floors OK? Like the other night, OK?

Re: 12/31 Leo AMPS 227

Yep, wow on the birds!   I can't imagine a 12 hour drive though... Leo, that's not a bad start but make sure you go in the right direction. Have a good day with your bean. :-D

Woohoo - Leo is happy to have his MamaBean home!!

I don't know how you fly every week like that...I'm sure you're very used to it , but I'm so not a fan of flying - haven't been on a plane since our honeymoon 17 years ago  ! I actually used to fly all the time when I was in college; then I flew home once with my roomie who was terrified...she ruined it for me. Irrational fears aside, these days it almost does seem quicker and more convenient to drive than it is to fly, what with all the searches, inspections, baggage fee nonsense....

Have a great day with your green kitty!!!

Oh Amy! nailbite_smile I'm sure it would be something you could get over if you tried! Thankfully we have our own terminal building at the airport that isn't subject to security, inspections, baggage stuff, etc. So its no big hassle, i just show up 30 minutes prior to the flight and hop on and away we go. The last week i flew up we took off and just as we were banking we started hearing thumps and bangs. The pilot came over the intercom and told us there was a hydraulic issue with the landing gear and that we would need to fly around for a bit then turn around and head back to Saskatoon. We flew around for 20 minutes (at which point i had already fallen asleep) and landed no big deal. Turns out we had to fly around and waste some time so that the fire trucks could get all positioned for our landing!!! nailbite_smile We had 2 fire trucks on each side of the runway where we landed. YIKES!

YIKES is right...that would probably do me in! I think a big part of my issue is that I'm a control freak, and I obviously have no control as a passenger on a plane  !! I have always said, though, that if there's some place I want to go badly enough, I'd be willing to get on a plane. And there are a few places I'd love to see, but for the moment the kitties have us tied close to home - a worthwhile sacrifice for sure!

Ptarmigans may be dumb but they sure taste good! How about Leo's drop into green?! Yay! Mookie and I wish you and Leo a very happy new year, with lots of green numbers to start the year.

Yay for green!!! Glad you are home and get to celebrate the new year with Leo. I don't even know how to say that bird word but it sounds like a pain. Have a great New Years Tracy and Leo!!!! :YMHUG:

   Leo is definitely happy to see you, he just had to let you know what he thought of your absence. I take it you are on a small plane? At least you get to sleep on theplane, or in ther terminal! :?

Its actually quite a big plane. A 44 seater plane.

I am heading out for some New Years Eve shennanigans tonight, i deserve it! Leo's grandparents have volunteered to babysit their grandcat. I thought i would give him his shot tonight then head out, so have a safe and Happy New Years!! I'll see y'all next year ;-)

Have a great time and stay safe! Maybe you could find that ever allusive respectable gentleman you were talking about.

Hey Leo! I'm not very good at arm wrestling. You weigh like two of me! Can't wait to see you! - Tarragon

Glad you are safely back home with your beloved boy. Scary....bird strikes.

Leo is looking great. Hope you two enjoy your days off together.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
