Our most heartfelt tears and sympathy to Michelle as BJ crossed the Bridge. We are so very saddened by this....BJ..the alarm clock, the whackathon girl. We will miss you..Fly free sweet one.

Mike and I hope the f1u is going to be a dose where Gracie just does what she's supposed to do. She had a mini-bounce last night and came right back down to :mrgreen: :-D :-D I hope we see her come back down again today but
we know last night's dose had no more influence from higher doses and she can get into the 50s on it. Hope that continues. She is such a sweetie, angel pie with all the testing. Breaks our hearts to do it but even more so when she
"assumes the position" for testing, looks at us with adoring eyes, and purrs up a storm. What a darling baby girl.

Gotta get a pic of her blankey before and after wadding...it's hilarious what she does. All is quiet in Gracieland right now. All the kitters are asleep.

I'm on my way out the door for a facial...Mike got me a gift card for several facials at a really nice spa with my fav aesthetician (and he got me some gorgeous jewelry from Brighton :-D ). So I am really looking forward to that. Went btb today so am running late. Have a lovely day!

Oh, I know exactly how you feel with this. Trix is such a huge help with the testing...I've taken to apologizing to her almost every day, for the testing, and for her being diabetic. We're thankful that she makes it easy for us. All the ear pokies are also why I pierced my own ear yet again last fall...to honor her sweetness. Only a few people know that's the REAL reason, though...I've let most people think it's just because I'm in the midst of a big ole midlife crisis :lol: !

As often as possible Doug and I test Mookie together, with one of us holding him and the other poking his ear. Mookie almost seems to enjoy it that way, or at least minds it less (as do I). Jewelry and facials? Now that is a divine combination! Have a happy happy new year's eve, Marje.

I'm right there with you and Amy on this. Weezer is so sweet and accommodating about all the pokies, it breaks my heart. On the other hand, if it was Doobie (civie) with FD I have no idea how we could handle it. If I managed to sneak a poke, he would be long gone before I could get the meter picked up! Humm, that sounds like all the newbies, doesn't it?

Hope your day at the spa is super I also have a GC for a facial never had one before so not sure what to expect since there are like 5 kinds to pick from at the spa I visit from time to time

I've gotta agree too with the ear pokies, our kitties just make it so easy. Leo purrs up a storm too and will run to his testing spot several times a day as if to say "test me please" sometimes i find myself testing him just because he wants me to.

Nice on the Christmas presents from Mike! My monthly treat is having microdermabrasion, i LOVE IT! Your skin feels amazing the day after. And jewellry too? Lucky girl! :-D I hope you all had a great holiday! Enjoy your new years eve Marje!

As for ear pokes, I am always feeling guilty. Morgaine does assume the position but she complains all the way over to her spot and I know it hurts her because she always flinches. Anything for food!

Bailey will sometimes go to her spot voluntarily and is relatively cooperative. Sometimes she swats me while we are poking, but she puts up with it for treats! Oh what would I do without freeze-dried chicken?...

Yay on the Christmas presents. That Mike is a very thoughtful guy. :-D

Nice day for Gracie yesterday. I agree on the testing. I thought "oh Tarragon will never ever go for this" when diagnosed. He has proven to be an absolute sweetheart and a breeze through this dance. DH thinks he knows that he feels better because of all of it. Who knows. Maybe they just like the special attention and interaction.

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE!!​

We wish everyone a safe and fun New Year's Eve. Gracie is thinking of wearing her green dress for the party...at least for now. ;-)

Oh the facial was delightful and then we went out for the afternoon. The way baby girl's numbers have been running, we figured there would be no going out tonight so we had a lovely long lunch and picked up groceries for NY's dinner tomorrow.
We're headed out to sit in the spa until her next testing time....the sky is lovely.

Love all your posts and please forgive a generic reply...we don't have much time to indulge ourselves in the spa but I had to laugh at most of them esp Amy's and piercing her ear for Trix but letting everyone think it was a mid life crisis!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

don't want to jinx anything, but wow, look at gracie's numbers today! she's one green girl!
