Hi everyone,
Not how I expected to spend the last day of the year....but Blaze went hypo, lowest number so far is 38 which he experienced at +3 in the cycle.
I have not listed the readings in the thread title because am testing a lot and it won't all fit. Please refer to the SS.
I have been testing every 20 minutes since the +3 reading. The readings go up and down, but so far he has not gone back to that low number.
I have been feeding his regular food, some mc and hc food and I have been rubbing syrup on his gums.
Just this past hour he stopped eating and walks away from his bowls.
Time to test again.

Is the most recent test the 61 at +5? That’s still too low if that’s the case. If he won’t eat more syrup please and test in 20. If he will eat I’d let him and then also give him a little syrup. He really wants that reduction doesn’t he?

Nice catch, Paola.

Any throwing up today? Any cerenia on board?

My concern is Blaze not keeping all the food down tonight. Since Blaze is fairly full you may have to resort to syrup. Does Blaze's stomach handle syrup well?

Thank you!
He has not been throwing up today, he is on Cerenia yes. He has been keeping the food down tonight but as of about 1 hour ago I have been resorting to syrup cause he is refusing to eat. Not nausea...i think he is full.
I don't know how he handle syrup because I hardly had to use it in the past...I hope he does

He’s been vomiting but good today. He threw up a hairball finally today or was it yesterday? He seems to be better. I was worried about pancreatitis and still am not convinced he’s got chronic pancreatitis now. We have been talking about the tummy through pm.

Could you please update your subject line. It says "hypo" but it looks like you've caught the lowest numbers (good job) and he's a bit higher now. Any hypo symptoms? Or just low numbers? The latter is more concerning.

He had no symptoms, he was sleeping peacefully, I tested him, he gave me a 38, I had a heart attack, he got up, walked normal, walked to his bowl and ate everything there was in it very fast. Other than that, nothing else. After that I started treating the hypo with syrup, MC/HC.

So his AM shot is soon now considering what time it is...what am I supposed to do? I am going to reduce to 1.75U, right? Do I worry if he has a lower AMPS, like tonight for example his PMPS was 139

I think that would make me feel a little more safe...He is still so low and his morning shot is in only 5 hours and 45 minutes

I think so, I will enjoy not having to set my alarm at 5 AM for 1 day! Have been doing that since August :blackeye: but my little boy is my everything so you gotta do what you gotta do

I’m hoping this is the breakthrough so that when you return to work it will be easier. Have you found out if you go back in person yet? When would that be?

Rather than decide on a skip now, why don't you wait and see what his AMPS is. A lot can change in 5 hours. If he's sky high, you might want to give insulin.

We have been told that in person learning will resume on January 5th (instead of the 3rd) so basically I have 2 more days at home next week, then I am back full time in person. During the extra 2 days that they are giving us, they are "saying" they are adding ore HEPA air filter units to classrooms, they are giving teacher unfitted N95 masks rather than the ones they have been giving us which were causing me breakouts on my face...
