I just read a blog that sounded same as Bella. Not eating & vomiting clear liquid. They did blood work, Xray & ultrasound it all came back normal. Turned out the cat was blocked up . An Enema resolved the problem.
Bella's been having a problem with his anal glands I wonder if that's something that would cause his vomiting?Do you think he might be constipated?

They checked his glands while we were there, thanks for researching stuff for me

I feel bad for you! I know how stressful it is when one of our Kitty babies is not feeling well. Did you try the SEB or the CBD oil?

I'll be home tonight with my kitty kids & I'll be thinking about you. I sure hope Bella feels better by tomorrow.

No, he won’t keep it down, he just took a cpl licks of food and it came back up

Yes, subq fluids as part of treatment if it had been pancreatitis. I presume the vet checked to see if he was dehydrated, or constipated.
Yes and he is not dehydrated or constipated, but he is not drinking anything, should I give it over night and let med kick in, or should I give him some fluids tonight, though he doesn’t have pancreatitis

Personally, I wouldn’t give fluids if not needed. Cerenia should kick in fairly quickly. Paws crossed it works soon.

A vet once told me they are trained to get inappetant kitties in right away. The majority of them resolve within 24 hours on their own, but if you get them in early, you look like a hero.

Thanks Wendy, they also gave me an appetite stimulate, starts with a M I can’t pick up at Walgreens till in the am, he will be ok not eating or drinking for 24 hrs?He hasn’t all day hardly at all

Mirtazapine, not my favourite unless you get the transdermal format. There can be side effects in pill form. It’s best to make sure nausea issues are spresolved before adding an appy stimulant. If Cerenia isn’t cutting it, ondansetron is an alternative.

Any chance you can try a little assist feeding? Even liquid? I wouldn’t want him to go longer than 24 hours without food.

Sending prayers , Jamie :bighug: Sometimes , just like us , they need to let their stomach have a rest . Maybe just a tiny bit of very dilute SEB .. syringe a smidge , wait and if he keeps it down , another smidge . :bighug: Go really tiny , dilute amounts and very slowly . Bless his and your hearts :(

I hope Bella is feeling better soon!
Did they do xray/ultrasound/bloodwork/urinalysis, or just the yes/no panc test and a hands on?

I can try, he had the Cerenia shot about 2 hrs ago

Hands on and pancreatitis test

AFAIK, they can tell by feel if kitties are backed up- they have always been able to tell on mine. Finer details may need imaging. Which just made me think-
is there any chance that Bella got into something he shouldn't have recently? Foodstuffs, tinsel, icemelt (depending where you live)

I can try, I just puréed some cat food with water

He doesn’t eat people food ever, no tinsel or ice melts

He was fine last night and this am he wasn’t

I just can’t figure it out, I’m scared to death, I puréed some food but he is asleep, wondering if I should wake him up and try or wait for him to wake up

Sending lots of feel better vines. It sure sounds like pancreatitis - what you're describing is exactly how my boys acted when they had it. I think the Cerenia usually works pretty quickly. I don't think I would worry about syringe feeding quite yet. If he is still nauseous, it'll just come right back up and he might develop even more of an aversion to food. I would give the Cerenia a bit more time to kick in and then offer food again in an hour or so.

Thank you, that’s what I was thinking cause I didn’t want him to puke it back up, he was given shot around 5:15

They tested him and it came back no he doesn’t have it

Sending vines for Bella to feel better ASAP! Nothing worse to me when they go off their feed. Can you just do all meat baby food? I think the blander the better right now.

Yes, i will get some, he usually won’t eat it, but I can try, I will try anything right now

Oh, so glad he got some food without vomiting! A tiny bit at a time & if it stays down he'll probably start eating on his own. Just a little at a time.

Just got back from Walmart and got chicken only baby food, gonna give more at 11 (1hr later) got my alarm set for diff times to give him more throughout the night, I’m only giving him a little at a time

:bighug:
Try not to worry too much (easier said than done)
Are you able to do something relaxing before bed?
