Ugh. One step forward, two steps back. No wonder she was so pushy to get me to get out of bed today.

I just don't get what happens while I sleep for less than 6 hours. There is no food out, good or bad, and in the middle of the nite when I woke up, I found her sprawled on her back, lying beside me in bed, with all four paws super relaxed. I nearly got up to test her to see a nice color but instead I just gave her a pat and went back to sleep.

And woke up to REDs again.

It's a good thing we are going with 4.75u tonite; she deserves better numbers for all the poking she endures.

Shadoe ate a good sized bowl of food, has made a huge smelly deposit in the litter box, and is now lounging on the hall rug, waiting for the shot to kick in and work magic. She is staring at me in the shot chair, but I am ignoring her. She can have it after I post and leave for work. What a pushy little kitty she can be.

I won't be home till pmps, so no numbers during the day. I'll go with the increase tonite and hope to see maybe 2 yellow numbers tomorrow!

aw crappus...sorry about the reds...hopefully new dose will kick in soon enough and Shadoe will begin to really stress you out with those lower numbers :mrgreen: it's a good thing - honest! lol

Alrighty, here we go with 4.75u on Shadoe's pm shot.

I am guessing her day was not too bad; the first 4 bowls in the feeder were chewed clean and the last one had turned shortly before I got home, so there was a fair bit left.

Also, her pmps was 400, much lower than her amps, so she likely spent her day in the PINKs.

As usual, when I got home, Booboo raced over to her covered dry food, most probably starving, and Shadoe scooted into the shot chair, waiting patiently for the nitely test, shoot n feed ritual.

Now everyone is happy and resting. Booboo is up on the cabinet sleeping, and Shadoe is on her rugh with a pair of socks.

I will take a couple tests, but I guess we won't see much good stuff till she has settled into the new dose.

Yeah, could be a few days of NDW before you see some action...hope this does the trick, you've been so patient all along you deserve a break.

So far so good. In typical Shadoe style, she leap frogged right into Yellow and has decided it is a good color and thankfully slowed down. Maybe I helped a bit with some fresh LC food - cuz she asked nicely.

I never know what she is going to do; I secretly think she has a wheel hidden someplace that she spins to decide how to respond.

I first was feeling impatient and frustrated, but I have learned that neither does much good for Shadoe. She is going to be the one to decide where we go, and how fast.

I am very grateful that Shadoe has caught onto the routine better than I have. She wakes me daily for her +11, and seems to know when it's time to test again. I am starting to wonder if she can read clocks and tell time.

Even though we had a bit of a setback when we realized that the Lantus vial I was still using had likely lost all of its kick, we are back on track with nice fresh cartridges and moving down the color ladder, into the Yellow and hopefully Blue numbers in the next few days.

Shadoe is immensely better now and is even playing with lots of toys again, so that's good enough till we get the numbers.

It looks like Shadoe is sticking with Yellow for the nite, so that's it for tests till +11, providing my Shadoe alarm clock wakes me in the morn.
