WCR Sara is resting on the bathroom towel. She has been up and around this morning and is feeling good. A few of the p's are aleady in place. I am still using test strips that are on the recall list. I haven't heard back from Abbott yet. I am going to see if I can get some today.

I had great success with Denny this morning. This time the first time I took him out he pooped. :-D That is huge since starting next week I will need him to go first thing in the morning because I will be going back to work. :-| Hope it continues to go well.

Have you tried E-mailing them, or are you waiting for them to ship you some new strips? I logged onto the Abbott website and E-mailed them with a question about my Alpha Trak strips. They assign a case # with the request. I received a telephone call from them stating the Alpha Trak strips were fine. It's the strips from the human meters. Have a nice day.

Sara still looking good, even with a newcomer in the house.

Hopefully once you have the routine established Denny will be better with his, um, LB activities. Sad that he got to be six without proper housebreaking skills, but I'm sure you and the other dogs will help turn him around quickly.

Michelle, and it is. I had success again with Denny in the after dinner poop. :-D Now I just have to get the peeing/marking thing in check. Which is proving to be a little harder.

Hi Nina! I know he was in a crate for a lot of his life because he was a show dog. Than when he was past his prime they didn't want him anymore. This lady Sue recued him and took him home, but she just passed on. So Denny has come to live with us. I think another move kinda has his skills out of check coupled with bad toilet training. Very smart dog though. Nice to see you. ;-)

Ann, I called abbott and am waiting for a representative to call me back. I'm going to call them again tomorrow. I just broke out my backup meter. [Aviva] Love it, but the strips are more expensive. But I don't have many strips left of those either.

Hi Jan, Are you using the ReliOn Ultima meter and strips from Walmart? If so, you can simply take the strips back to Walmart and get a refund. (I got an unsolicited e mail from Walmart the other day telling me this and listing all of the lots that are suspect.) I'm going to return mine next week.

Continued good luck with Denny. Poor little guy has had an unsettled life. He's lucky to have wound up with you.

Sara, don't forget to come to the big New Year's Eve party in Rusty's barn!

Hey Jan!!! Great day for Sara!! I've been so swamped lately that I've been just in and out peeking at your condo. I bet you are very happy with Denny's progress!!!
