Good Morning L&LL,
Another chilly one: -11F here early this morning, but already the temperature has climbed to -4F. Rusty is enjoying his radiator (see pic, below). He had a good night, ate all of his nighttime fuds, and has already eaten all of his breakfast. He also drank from the Xmas tree water and the water pots we put on top of the radiator. Can't keep him away from the Xmas tree water. It must taste really good. This morning I took his dose up a notch to what I will call 0.10+ Unit (0.16mm on the digital calipers, Monoject syringe: up from 0.14mm). We'll see if it drops him too much in mid cycle and go from there.
We are preparing for our annual New Year's Eve party. At the moment Edward is getting ready to bake his huge loaf of Hungarian potato bread. We will be having 12 people for late-afternoon snacks and drinks and, later on, a sit-down 11 p.m. dinner featuring lentil soup, smoked turkey, smoked salmon, and Champagne. In between the guests can go to our village's "First Night" (many venues around town with music, story-telling, dancing, etc.) or stay in the house with us and watch one of our 3 DVDs of Johann Strauss' "Die Fledermaus". Temperatures are supposed to be in the 'teens below zero, so I wonder how many of our friends will want to be out wandering around town. Rusty will be a purrfect host, but in the past he has gotten antsy at 11 p.m. (his usual bedtime) and gone upstairs. (@Linda and Bear Man : we miss you already!)
Wishing everyone a great holiday weekend and a healthy new year for kitties and beans.
Yo Kitties, You need to get warm? Come spend the day on my radiators. We can plan for the first full-moon party of 2018. It will be on New Year's Day night. The Full Wolf Moon! Let's get ready to howl!
