Vet's secretary was when she saw the pictures of Leroy's wrapped hocks. Vet isn't in until Friday but he's reachable.

I'm sure you've said before, I just missed it. What does the wrapping do for them? How do you know how tight/loose to wrap? Thanks!

The wrapping keeps the wounds on the back of his hocks from getting irritated and opening up. I just go by feel when wrapping. The wrap has to be tight enough so it doesn't slide off but not too tight that it cuts off circulation. The paw on the purple wrapped leg is slightly swollen in the picture so I had to remove the wrap for awhile before rewrapping it more loosely.

Aww. This is the first time I've seen a picture of Leroy! He's a very pretty lad, and the bandages are rather fetching (even though I wish he didn't need them).
