Oof what an ugly pink morning. Lose the spaceship 🚀 Ivy.
I don’t even think she went low in the past day for such a big bounce 🤷‍♀️ :blackeye:

We are going to the vet for lab work today. Checking her T4 to see if current Methimazole dose is working better 🙏
Will also check B12 levels.

I will sedate her before we go with gabapentin since she is not a happy fan of the vet’s office.

It’s extremely cold, so that’s gonna be super not fun carrying her big crate in the blowing winds and freezing cold❄️🥶
Hoping she’s a good girl today (the bar is low with my expectations).

And I need to try to catch a urine this morning, all paws 🐾 crossed 🤞

Looking for more blues and maybe greens today for Miss Ivy 🤞

Have you tried putting a microwavable heat pad in the carrier to keep Ivy warm? Or a heated pet carrier?

I don’t have a heated carrier, luckily it’s 5 minutes of walking from the car to the building, but it’s just cooooold and windy today.
And just me complaining!

Hope all the tests come back well. My cancer girl just started B12 today. Luckily I was giving her subq's today, so just put it in one of the ports. One less stab.
Have you found a good dose for the gab? I have a girl that's so terrified of the car rides she's a destructive force. I gave her 50 and it did nothing. But gave her mother 10 once and it knocked her on her bum. She couldn't even walk and was so confused. :(

I use 100 mg the night before and 150 mg 2 hours before appointment.

She’s still very feisty at the vet, despite the high dose.
As soon as she gets home she sleeps for the afternoon until dinner.
Usually by the next day back to normal. But it’s a long sleepy afternoon for her.
I hope the B12 helps your sweet kitty 🥰😻💕
 
We survived the vet office today. They said she did well and that they have a pretty good routine with her (takes 3 vet techs to handle her appointments) 😬

Since they won’t let me in the room with her I don’t know what goes on 😢

She spent the afternoon sleeping off the gabapentin dose and was very hungry for her dinner tonight, she ate quite well and now she’s having her post dinner snooze 😴
Results probably won’t be back until after the holiday, so Friday.
 
I'm glad the vet visit went well, and it looks like she's come back to earth after that rocket ride at AMPS. ❤️ Fingers crossed for your test results - and solidarity in re: freezing wind! It practically knocked me and Gen over when I was getting him out of the car on our return home today.
