YAY! He is back to feeling good too. Snuggled with mama this morning before the alarm and was playing last night (we also had a cool front blow in, so he is feeling frisky).

Trying another food today.

2.75 oz (1/2 5.5oz can) Wellness Core Beef, Venison & Lamb + 6oz Cats in the Kitchen Fowl Ball (24hrs).

I think he really, really liked it. He spent over a minute licking his bowl and when I had had enough and pulled him away to give him his shot he let me know. He was meowing and trying to get down and back to the empty bowl the entire shot.:joyful: Which is good, because if I had guessed about it last night when mixing it up I wouldn't have thought it would be a hit. It is very dense and little-to-no smell and has almost a grey tinge to it - but as long as he likes it - I don't care.

Both of the new foods (yesterday/today) are from the under 10% carb, less than 1% phosphorus list.

We have a family dinner late this afternoon - BIL/SIL are back in town from Christmas and we are exchanging gifts and a quick dinner (I made lasagna). Of course hubby set it up right at TFS time :banghead:. I will figure it out - it just makes it hard with people here (more on me than on Gizmo).

Hoping all beans and kitties have a great day and stay warm!:bighug:

Great report for Gizmo. I hope he keeps liking the new food. Sorry your DH set things up at TFS time. I hope it wall works out and you have a good visit.

So great Gizmo is a good eater, it really helps this dance. Looks like he's ready for some lagoon time today :D:D I understand the stress of company especially around T/F/S time so hope it works out. I rarely let people in the house these days but have had a few out of town guests stay here and there and it was agonizing for me.

I shot in the downstairs 1/2 bath twice while MIL as here. It was one of the reasons I was concerned about a fur shot or partial fur shot.

How long can you draw the insulin before shooting? Is an hour ok? If so, I think I will take him up stairs to tfs this afternoon.

Great news on the eating new fuds and sounds like he really liked it a lot!

Ugh for the guest at TFS time. In conflicted times like that , I will shoot up to 15 mins early to get it out of the way before the dogs start barking at the company. I have preloaded the syringe as much as 30 minutes ahead of time with out any problems. Any longer than that I wouldn't do.

Yay to read about a great appy!:cat::cat::cat:

Hoping you have a really nice visit today, and that t/f/s goes well, despite the scheduling issues!:):bighug:
Good luck too with the B-12. I consider it a mobility miracle vitamin, it saved Gussie who was way down on all four hocks and falling over every few steps. Literally could not walk to the point that I was getting dire predictions and suggestions because of how bad it was. It takes some time for the vitamin to work, but stick with it...:bighug::bighug:

Ooohhh! Good friends osha and gizmo and hanging out together again!! I hope they have lots of fun and head to the lagoon tonight. :cat:

He is a bit out 'o shape. May have a hard time keeping up.:D

Osha is looking soooo Good! How old is she?

How old is Gizmo?
13 in Feb/Mar. He was a vagabond that wandered in off the street as a kitten so not sure of his exact bday.

When I took him to the vet for a first check vet estimated his age at 2 months. Almost exactly two months after I lost my beloved Missy at age 18. She was a short hair tabby that had green eyes. Gizmo has green eyes too.

Awe. I just love stories like that.

I am not 100% on Oshas age. I got her in 2009 and she was about 3, so I think she will be 11 this summer.
