Thanks, Robin, I shot .9.
Called the vet, who is not in this Saturday, made appointment for next Sat. Easier if DH comes with me.
She is eating. She is drinking A LOT. I had made her the "liver Shake" I found here for inappetance, (altho she had started eating more anyway). It is a vile looking deep green and doesn't smell very good. It has raw chicken livers, V8 juice, egg yolk, water, and Spirulina in it. When I made it she eagerly lapped up a Tablespoon, (much like with the Fortiflora) and then rejected any more the rest of the day. This morning she I put down 2 Tablespoons and she ignored it for an hour or so, then eagerly lapped up 3/4 of it. Just to keep me confused :?

I saw that recipe. What is Spirulina?
Maybe it was too cold this morning and she waited until it was room temp??
Hope Squamee comes around to that or continues to eat more of her other food.

Spirulina is some sort of herbal supplement (the recipe said that or to use kelp--so maybe it's the iodine or salt) with lots of vitamins and minerals. I also wondered if it was too cold--but who knows--she didn't eat it all day yesterday.

She's really still not eating? Her insulin needs don't seem to reflect that [yet].

I would go up to 1u [and make sure to dra her out of hiding and get some food in her as often as you can after +2] except if she is really not eating then nailbite_smile .

Gator, she is eating a lot. Enough to have me convinced she has kidney problems---it's that kind of unsatisfied eating (and drinking a LOT) where she always seems to be hungry and thirsty. And since I don't think her BG is high enough to account for it, I am thinking kidneys.

Thanks, Gator. Those two drugs are phosphorus binders? One is a capsule that I am sure I could not give her. The other goes in food--don't know if that will work, either. But I will definitely talk to vet about it. Am considering trying to bring her in earlier than a week from tomorrow (when we have an appointment scheduled).
