Good morning, everyone,

Rusty had a good night. We didn't hear our "first bell" this morning, but Rusty did and he made sure that we got up before the "ducks" quacked! His AMPS probably reflects nighttime food eaten shortly before the alarm, so we'll see where he goes today. If numbers remain high I will go back tonight to the old cartridge, which still has a little insulin in it, to try to ascertain if the high numbers are owing to the new cartridge ( the last one of a 5-pack) not being potent. We switched to a brand new meter last night.

Above freezing this morning with sleet and freezing rain. A good day finally to get my paperwork done! Rusty is in his basket this morning and apparently does not want to schmooze yet, so I'm going upstairs to my desk to begin work balancing the checkbook. Bbl,

What do ya think, Rusty....is it time to head back to the lagoon? Is the juice stale? The suspense has us on the edge of our seat!

Rusty, I am with Auntie Amy... Time to think lagoon? It needs its meister! What'd'ya think? Is it the cat? the juice? the meter? nailbite_smile ;-)

I agree too on that kitties make the best alarm clocks. Mine were resilient this morning, started in 10 minutes before the alarm, made sure I got up once it made all that noise... :lol: I still miss the kitty choir though: BJ was so good at that. :lol:

Good luck with that paperwork! I still need to do mine....

Have a great day today. I hope all goes well. I will hope too that that freeing rain and sleet moves elsewhere. :-D

Rusty, are you just getting too excited about the upcoming visit from Sandy Claws? Even good stress can send your BGs up. Sandy Claws won't be able to find you if you aren't in the lagoon! ;-)

I vote for e)!!

Rusty gets a green smiley for his 99 at +9 today. It's a good sign. Now let's hope he doesn't keep climbing from the 153 at PMPS! I stuck with the newly opened cartridge for tonight's shot. We tried Dave's Turkey & Giblets today at lunch and Rusty seemed to like it well enough. But when I put it side by side in his dish tonight with FF T&G, the Fancy Feast won out (so far; maybe he is saving the Dave's for last!). I also have a can each of Dave's Chicken dinner , Dave's Turkey dinner, and Dave's Gobblicious and plan to try them. We can't buy any of the flavors in this area, so if any of them are a hit, I'll have to order a case. The store in Plattsburgh that carries Dave's only stocks the 95% formulas (and they are probably on back order). We are so thankful to Zener (and his mamabeans) for the bequeath of the case of 95% Chicken and Chicken Liver.

I finished my paperwork! The rainy day was a great incentive. I was supposed to go on a hike to Avalanche Lake in the High Peaks tomorrow with friends, but my hamstring is not getting any better and I am afraid of what will happen to it if I do a 9-mile hike on tough terrain and icy trails. Bummer!!

Ella, I am sorry to hear you will miss your hike due to the pulled hamstring- ouch! But better be safe than sorry, those things need time to heal - vines to you! :YMHUG: :YMHUG:
