Ripley seems to be feeling a little better already.
She peed inside the LB (yesterday she peed twice just outside the box :sad: ), and is eating (without treat decorations!).
She gave me a couple of little squawks as I was preparing her breakfast ~ she's been too quiet the last few days. It's good to hear her talking to me again.

I'm pleasantly surprised by her amps ~ her numbers have been a little high (for her), due to the infection. I guess that first dose of AB is really kicking in! I purposefully did not get up at midnight to catch a nadir test last night. When I saw that her numbers were consistently in the mid-ish blues throughout the day, I decided to give her a pokey-break (and myself an alarm-break). Now I'm ohmygod_smile because I wonder where she went around her +6... Oh well. She's feeling better, and that's the most important part.

Very wonderful! And I think it's OK you guys both took a pokey break...it's good to do that once in a while, when you can tell the numbers are safe. Have a great day, Josie!!

What a nice start today for Ripley. it is so great that she is feeling better today. How cool that she tolerates the AB well, what a plus that is. GO RIPLEY! Keep those squawks coming too.

I hear you on the getting up for nadir check. Sometimes you just have to look at what type of cycle they are having and cross your fingers. But today you caught a good one!

Ripley's appy is so-so tonight, as well as her energy and general disposition.
I imagine this recovery will be a 2-steps-forward-&-1-step-back kind of process.
Her numbers tell me that the infection is lessening, but her eyes tell me that she's a little under the weather.
Feel better, my girl.

We skipped her fluids tonight. She was very unhappy with getting poked.
(She also meowed with her insulin shot tonight. Very unusual.)
I don't feel comfortable with skipping, but after 3 attempts, I just couldn't put her through it again.
She's normally SO easy when it comes to fluids and insulin pokes.
Good news: her appy get better, ate almost all of her dinner.
