Yesterday, bookend day.

Sunny day today, might be the last for a while. Neko is taking full advantage of it. After last breffs she headed out and immediately started making biscuits on the fleece in her bed in the solarium. Life is good. :-D We are heading off for Neko's acupuncture appointment in about an hour.

My comment about that +3. :roll: I had an alarm fail again overnight, should have gotten up to test. at 4:30 :YMSIGH:

If you haven't read Carl's post on Insulin Resistance, you should. There's also a good description of what's happening in bouncing. Blame the pancreas, Mr. Liver is just doing his/her job.

Aha, Neko. You can't fool us. We know what you were doing at 4:30 a.m. Maybe. (love the bouncing kitty. does look a bit like the Neko girl.) Now, take some air out of the bouncy ball and bring it down and flatten it out.

Even my guys had to suffer through a rainy, grey day. I still open the blinds, but no sun spots, no window sill splatting.

Hope accupuncture went well.

Wendy, I know how you feel about that failed alarm- that happens to me all the time! :oops: :oops: Oh well, aside from the +3, Miss Neko appears to be clearing that little mini bounce! We did not get any rain- It was a little warmer today, but at this rate, I don't think I'm going to get my tulips and daffodil bulbs in the ground this fall! :roll:
 
Neko's acupuncture session was good. She had a couple of extra spots done via laser, based on how she's walking. I had a really good chat with the vet about the latest trends in acromegaly. Vetty commented that Neko seemed more relaxed this time, so wanted me to send her what Neko's BG had been the days she had treatments to see if there was any correlation. I like how this vet is always looking to learn. When we got home, Neko immediately went to rub on Mr. AC tires. Nothing like home sweet home! :lol:

Tonight's shot was the last of the syringes that we got from Mariko as part of Lucy's legacy. :sad:

@Carla, Marilyn, Ella - Unfortunately Neko had to miss an hour of sunshine while we went to acupuncture. But she did slide down nicely today. Rain is supposed to start tomorrow night. I don't think it's part of the California storm, just regular Vancouver December weather.
@Rusty - Acupuncture needles are OK, I really like the laser heat. Might see you later in the lagoon - haven't made up my mind yet. ~Neko

All in all, a very nice day for Neko. Good Bg's overall, a nice recovery from the morning rise. Very cool too on the acupuncture sessions. I like that vet. It is always such a plus when they want to learn, see how what they are doing affects to overall picture. :-D
