Good morning from Seattle!
After no insulin last night, Miss Lee gave me a 196 this morning, pre-meal. Not bad!

I am going to dose her with 0.75u today, a little less than yesterday. I like this trend A LOT.

Thank you for all your support!! She's doing great!! Maybe she still has a chance of diet controlled diabetes.

There is always a chance, we've seen cats walk off the juice after years on insulin.

Given her trend downward, I'm hoping there is still a chance for her. I'm still disappointed it took me this long to find this awesome group. Had the vet known more, or been more convincing that it would have given her a higher chance to remission, I would have started her on Lantus from the beginning, not on the Vestlin (sp?) for the first 6 months. ALSO, would have taken her off dry food altogether sooner, as we did the DM wet and dry. Now I know that I could have bought even lower carb food, I would have done that earlier too.

BUT, live and learn, just glad I found this group now, and am doing 2x daily testing, not just curve tests every month.

I know I sound like a broken record, but those curves are important they fill in a lot of the bigger picture. So I would try for at the very least once a month. You just never know even those blues could be a bounce off a low that she had no outward signs of. I know Autumn can drop as low as the 20s without showing any outward signs of being in hypo. Never have seen my girl do the drunken hooker walk, about the only sign she ever gives me is demanding I feed her and she does that even when she is in safe numbers, she just loves her food, my food, DH's food and food in general...lol

Definitely Mel, my comment was that I basically ONLY doing a curve test once a month, not the 2x daily testing. Now I am doing 2x daily testing, and will continue to do the curve tests!

Hi Amanda
it's great that you are testing every day now. that's so important. :thumbup :thumbup :thumbup
