Yesterday

Zener is doing fine this morning. He had a quick foray into yellow last night and then looks like he stayed in the low blues for the rest of the night. His appy is pretty good. I had to chase him around a bit but not too much. No yard patrol. He's now on the bed with Anne. Tillie has not budged from the Pyramid (heated, soft sided, covered). Who can blame her? 12 F this morning. I'm going skiing when it gets to 20.

Great report for Cleo this morning. Continuing to think of Amy and Melanie. Have you seen the candles of remembrance on FB? We never get over missing our kitties.

Hi Liz, oh wow with your cold temps and hope it gets up to 20 degrees soon for skiing. I'll do my best to send our rain your way. Nice +2 there for Zener, and I don't blame him yet on the yard patrol! :lol: Too cold, right Zener! :lol: Tillie has the right idea with the heated pad.

I'm with you, Liz: as long as you dress properly there's no reason not to go out (unless it's a blizzard, or lower than about -10 F.) I suffer from cold fingers, so I put those 7-hour handwarmers in my mittens about half-way through a day outdoors. I change mittens after "lunch" and as soon as we stop for lunch I put the handwarmers into the dry mittens. Toasty warm when I put them on!

Zener is surfing away. Rusty would like to join him!

@Michelle & Mannie - the mighty Z has followed your most excellent suggestions today. :razz: We have more cold weather on the way and some snow!

@Lisa & Leo - Liz had a great ski, and with our really cold weather and more snow in the forecast, she's going to be able to ski until we have to go back to work in another week. The kitties are not happy about our return to work, but we still have another week to cater to their every whim, as it should be.

@Ann & Maggie - thanks for sending all your moisture on over to us. We are getting nice regular little storms that are keeping our snow base around. The big guy did several yard patrols today and we even had a happy crap dash!

We are thinking of all our beans lighting candles of remembrance today. The pictures and stories are heartbreaking and wonderful, all at the same time. :YMHUG: Everything that you in LL have learned from your kitties, you have shared with us and Zener is happier and healthier today, thanks to your generosity. We are so grateful for LL.
