Morning LL,

12/27 thread

WCR Sara is her sweet purring self. cat_pet_icon Always a pleasure to test/shoot. Most of the p's are a go.

I haven't been testing Sara as much because I have been consumed with toliet training Denny. He is a sweet dog but we are not making that progress. I take him out in the morning to take a poop and he doesn't do anything. I bring him back in and than not to long after he does it in the house. I watch him after I bring him in but if I pay attention to anything [like bathroom for me :-| ] he does it in the house. It's very frustrating. Right now he is sleeping and I the warden are keeping an eye on him. As of now I can't do anything till he takes a poop. He also has been senting in the house. I am armed with urine off and am ready to correct that situation when I see it.

Sorry to go on about the potty training but it is just so frustrating. :?

On the positive side, there is a lot of puppy and kitty piling going on here.

Re: 12/29 Sara AMPS~181

Great news on the morning poop  I think crate training is the way to go here too. They sell those embarassing type wraps to prevent male dogs from marking.

Hi Jan,
Nice +5 for Sara, and great that you had success with Denny this morning. How old is he? Is he still a puppy? Maybe one of your other dogs could take him in hand. Isn't it nice that kitties are so well trained by their mothers?

Enjoy the day and your vacation,

Ella & Rusty

+5~73

Hi Ella, Denny is 6 years old. He is a very smart dog. Was a show dog. I think he'll catch on pretty quick. I left his morning poop out there so he can smell it. As far as the marking. Well with 5 other cats and 2 other dogs I'm sure he has plenty to smell even though I can't.

Hey Kerrie, I have a crate out in the LR. Sometimes he sits on it, sometimes in it. He is used to crates. I would rather not have to use it if I don't have to for training because of his age. But its there if I need it. Thanks anyway. I think I can do this without the diapers too.

Wish me luck I'm taking the dogs out.

As far as Sara goes she doesn't seem bothered by this guy at all. The funny thing is though that Denny sleeps in a lot of her spots. I guess she hasn't seen it yet.

Re: 12/29 Sara AMPS~181

He's lucky to have you Jan. I can't imagine using one of them myself. He goes on top of the crate eh haha.

That is so cool that Sara doesn't seem bothered by him at all.

Re: 12/29 Sara AMPS~181

Great AMPS for Sara!!
Saw this thing on TV that was a fake patch of grass, for apt dogs or in winter--Totally washable & seems like grass--Then once dog likes it, bring outside, & hope that dog gets the IDEA!!
Looks like Denny has a good hold on it!! HUgs from Us!!

Morning! nice amps for Sara. Surf well today.

Very cute photo. :-D

And congrats on the successful morning poop! Maybe it's just the beginning...

Oh Michelle I can only hope so! The problem is that he is also peeing and scenting in the house. You watch watch watch and it seems as soon as you do something else he has done some scenting. :-|

Roni, I saw that patch of fake grass also. That would be good for people with little dogs that live in apartments not on the 1rst floor. That I could totally see. Animal planet had this program called what a dog wants. You wouldn't believe the stuff they have.

Ella, You sure are right about that. Kitties are a piece of cake when it comes to LB training. :-D

Lisa, Did you ever see that fake grass potty thing on tv for dogs. That might be something you could use since your chihuahua doesn't like to go outside. Sunday and Monday were brutal here with the dogs because of the storm.

Kerrie, We have the crate in the LR with blankets in it so whoever can use it for a bed. I always leave it open.

Thanks everyone for your ideas.

Hey Jan, that's good that all the furbabies are getting along so well. Sara is being nice and cooperative, throught this transition. Good luck with continued success in potty training.
