Well so far so good with the 0.1U.....time will tell. Was very happy to get to sleep for several hours in a row last night without worry :smile: Molly's doing great and is still enjoying the attention even though there's "owies" (needle sticks) sometimes along with the tuna :-D

Hope everyone has a good day today and your babies surf with ease.

Hmmm.....here we go again, +3 of 44! I guess maybe I should just take her off the sauce altogether?

I have to go out this afternoon but will be home to see her until +6 thank heavens!

The 44 could still be from the depot leftover from the 0.25 dose. I think you should try the 0.10 for a bit longer.
Let's see what others say.

Have you fed this number? If not, try feeding a tsp. of low carb to see if that gets her surfing, or if she continues to drop.

I gave her some plain chicken (2tsp home cooked no sugar) as a treat after the test but haven't given other food. There is food out for free feeding. I was curious to see if she went any lower or if she just stays here, as my other 2 cats are in the 40s (non-diabetics).......It's been a little over half hour so I'll test now......

Well she's at 43, not much change.

Trying to decide whether to feed this or just watch?

I would feed the 40s. Just give a teaspoon or two of LC and re-test in 30 min.

Ok we're almost at +4 so I will test, feed, and test again in 30

Ok at +4 we were at 44 then fed 2 tsp 8% at 4.5 we're 50.

This is probably carry over from he 0.25u dose. It can take a couple of cycles to get the depot to adjust to the new dose.

I know I had suggested that you could stop on New Year's Eve. Libby suggested we lay out the options for you and you decide what you want to do. She had the following thoughts

We seem to have had a big surf in the 40s today regardless of feeding (1/2 can FF) at +5.5. I'm thinking about doing this dose again tonight and seeing what happens. If we're in the 40s again tonight, nothing tomorrow as I can't monitor after +3. Does this sound ok or should I stop tonight?

Sorry Sienne, I didn't see your previous post about your and Libby's thoughts until a few minutes ago. You must've posted while I was writing the other message and I missed it.

Thank you to you and Libby for your thoughts. I want to do what's right for Molly and give her the best chance possible of going into remission.

So, 0.1U tonight and I'll keep a close watch to make sure she doesn't go too low.
