Some kitties are on a smaller daily dose of pred. It seems like Fritz needs it and can't go too long without it. Not knowing anything about it wonder if a smaller consistent dose will help keep him regulated. Have to go up in dose to compensate and then scramble coming back down when it wears off just seems exhausting for you both.

I think that is a great idea I'm going to slowly taper him off of the 5ml he's at 3ml just stared last night and I will watch to see what dose of pred keeps his asthma to no flare ups and just keep him on that dose. He went outside yesterday and today all on his own even if it was for a brief look around and back in.
I'll have my grandson with us for the next week or so and we are off to shopping in Kingman today.

I hope you can balance out the insulin and pred to keep Fritz surfing and breathing good. I hope your allergiest visit goes well. Sending prayers.

Deb, I hope that Fritz comes down for you and I like Karen's idea. Wasn't their something that the holistic vet gave to help with the asthma ? Or maybe it didn't help Very frustrating for you both I'm sure.

Yes she gave him Drenamin, Asthma Nosode and Kudzu Releasing Liquid he gets them twice a day. He had to be put back on oral pred shortly after I got him started on the three holistic stuff.

Sometimes they go into a "healing crisis" a few days after starting on homeopathy. They get worse before they get better.

he has a follow apt. sometime this month. I am so tired from hosting family for 4 days 3 nights and now our grandson stayed behind. Love having them but with caring for Fritz and having a full house is exhausting! I sure hope he is able to eventually taper off pred and use only the homeopathy.
